TLJ Second Trailer. When and Where ??

Am I the only one thinking they've been pretty bad aiming to "construct" hype for this movie? This doesn't feel AT ALL like the waiting for TFA...

 

I know that there is a possibility that they will show it at a game. But I’m done with NFL. They have really offended me. It’s going to kill me. I hope I have enough self-control. Wish me luck guys.

 

TFA was different. The marketing had to show the public that Star Wars is coming back. They don't need to do this for the TLJ. Star Wars is back now. Everyone knows it and will go watching the movies.
We got a teaser, a BTS Reel and we will get a full trailer and some TV spots. That's a pretty usual way of marketing a blockbuster movie these days.

BTW I'm much more hyped for TLJ than TFA because we know nothing about the plot.

 

We're not in the hype zone yet. Which starts when the main trailer is released in October through to the December premiere.

That's when you'll start to get tv spots, Disney channel interviews, more magazine interviews, daytime and late night interviews. Etc.etc.

 

I wish you luck to find it in yourself to forgive those players who seem to be offending the flag but really just protesting inconceivable amounts of injustice done to them because of their skin colors. I understand it’s a sensitive topic as I have friends who are currently serving but after many long years of oppression sometimes you have to take drastic measures to see change. And what they’re doing isn’t really disrespectful as kneeling is a sign of respect and was actually proposed to Kaepernick by soldiers who told him how to go about the protest. Again, I understand the frustration against the display and you have the right to feel the way you do, but also don’t forget that most of these men are truly patriotic men who care for and give a lot back to their communities, and they are just fed up with the injustice and peacefully asking for change because they are some of the few who have a platform to do so.

 

Sir. I am Hispanic. And I do believe that there is racial injustice going on. I really do. And I do believe in free speech. They can protest all they want peaceably. I’m cool with that. But this is not how you protest against racial injustice. What they did, they disrespected our Flag, our country, our troops who are protecting our country and those who have sacrificed themselves so that we may live free. I have family members who have served. They have been insulted to the highest level possible- all of them. And it’s vile. And the Jags (My former favorite team and my hometown team) and the ravens, they dumped us and then they bowed down to Mother Britain. This almost feels like treason. This was and is not an attack on our President or white supremacy, this was an attack on all of us. On both sides. They have figuratively spat on our troops faces and they don’t even know it, or they do know it and they just don’t care because their hatred is has no bounds. This is why I’m doing this. #BoycottNFL

That's right! BTW not all star wars funs are from USA and I don't think that for them is a difference if TLJ trailer will arrive during NFL or other sport event, they just want it now!

to watch the trailer on TV during an
NFL game because I was offended by them. No rant, no drama. But then this guy rants about my comment and talks to me like if I’m a hateful bigot. Then I gave him an explanation why I felt the way I do about the NFL. But yes, I am sorry.

 

i just hope the trailer doesn't come out during the Kessel Run cuz i can't watch that.

did you know that some of the more Rebel-leaning pilots are not standing during the Imperial anthem? something to do with Wookie slave labor, or something.



i'm honestly surprised this thread is still going! i thought we had the release date narrowed down to a Oct. 9 - 16 window?

 

Agreed. The only reason that I think that we veered off course here was because of the hypothesis that the drama occurring with the NFL situation could cause Disney to forego dropping the trailer during a prime-time football game.

Getting back on topic, I had hoped that we might see something new by now. Didn't the Korean or was it Japanese TV spot for TFA drop sometime in the early fall? It just has felt like a long wait from the teaser trailer to now. The part of me wising to remain as spoiler-free as possible is happy about the lack of promotion but the other half of me would just like to see sometime to whet the appetite a bit.
