TLJ Second Trailer. When and Where ??

This is great news! I've been lurking and waiting for an official date!

 

I wonder like TFA Final Trailer Debuting at halftime, i wonder it's highly likely that TLJ Trailer will debut on Halftime to show the full 2:30 trailer? One could think.

 

Based on previous football broadcasts, especially prime-time games, coverage begins at 20:30 ET. Game will start around 20:45 ET, and halftime (when the trailer will air) will be between 21:30 ET - 21:45 ET.

 

My bad, thought 20:30 was kick-off time, not the beginning of the coverage, that's what we usually see over here when a football (soccer) match is advertised

I thought one NFL half was ~30-40 minutes though? So wouldn't half-time at the very earliest begin at 21:15, and, at the very latest, end at 21:45?

(Shall adjust my statement accordingly)

No problem. Each half is 30 minutes of game time, but after every score, injury, or timeout, they cut to commercial, and those take up 2-3 minutes each time. It’s all about the money. They stretch an ‘hour’ into three with these games.

 

Star Wars and football great combo!

 

I'm so excited for the trailer that i cant even imagin how it will look like visualy.

 

Do you think we will get something big to talk about 'til the movie comes out? Not necessarily spoilerish, but something emotional like"Chewie, we'er home" or whatever.

 

Yes, and I think it has something to do with Luke or Kylo. The last shot of the trailer will show us something big. I'm sure about that. It has always been that way.

 

I am not going to be watching the trailer on TV during the game. I am done with the NFL no matter what goodies they throw at us Star Wars fans. I’m going to wait for it to be posted on the Star Wars YouTube page. It will be released there seconds after it premieres at the game. You guys are welcome to join me if you want.

Wow. I just can’t believe it’s that time of year again, New trailer, and soon, a new movie!

I think we'll get a line from Leia or some hint at a Leia/Luke reunion, maybe her just looking up and saying "Luke" obviously they wouldn't want to spoil that moment in the trailer but just a hint to it

 

Sure, I think they'll show something, but I'm not too sure what. I have a few ideas that I think are possible, but we'll see:

• the Praetorian Guard. We haven't had that "wow, what was that?!" moment yet with TLJ's promotion, and ending a knockout trailer with them entering Snoke's throne room or showboating with their weapons could be a great push for merchandise.

• Luke's lightsaber. Not personally my favourite idea - because I wouldn't want this spoiled - but if Luke does use his lightsaber in the film, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Luke's robotic righty at the centre a shot, before he pulls his green lightsaber into his hand Sheev-style and the trailer cuts to black as we hear it ignite. Seems like a money shot tease for sure.

• I would absolutely have my heart melted if we see a shot focused on Leia as she says "well, where have you been?" as the shot suddenly goes wide and reveals Luke, who lets out a grin.

• I think that the trailer ending with Luke talking to an obscured and out-of-focus blue figure, or alternatively Kylo talking to one, would have fans on their knees begging for the film (if they weren't already)

 

I hope they give us something, not necessarily big plot details, but something big to talk about for the next two months.

 

Getting excited for this dang trailer..

 

October 9th?

 

If I had a dollar for every day we've waited since April 14th (when the Last Jedi teaser came out) for a new Last Jedi trailer, I'd be as rich as Disney!

(I know we're getting very close to October 9th, but I couldn't resist making this joke )
