    Another coworker of mine here is an amateur astronomer an' left to go film/photograph this event. He left me a pair of binocs w/hand cut solar filters. A bunch of us used the for the last 45 mins ... It damn near put us there

    having seen the one back in the 90s, i didn't plan either. fortunately i work with a lot of geeks, so in true lemming-like fashion i went out and looked through borrowed glasses. i'm glad i did ~ it was fun and it's always amazing to be a part of something bigger than ourselves--even for a couple of minutes.

    guess that's why Star Wars is likewise so special. : D
