    With all due respect, you have it the other way around. It's not normal at all for the "definitive edition" to hit the same year the disc comes out in the first place. Retailer-exclusive stuff is generally made with collectors in mind, as most normal people don't care about special features and will probably just grab whatever version they want at their preferred outlet.

    I’m not too sure that I agree, but it makes for a great educated guess in my eyes.

    I personally think that the film opens with Hux and Ben/Kylo rendezvousing with Phasma et al aboard the Supremacy, sort of mirroring the openings of Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace. I think that the attack on and retreat from D’Qar is what closes out the first act.

    So, perhaps a “We’re on our way to the Supremacy” aboard a shuttle, from Hux to Kylo, or maybe even keeping quiet until after Ben has been patched up and is told that “We’re being summoned by the Supreme Leader”, again from Hux?

    Just my thoughts :)

    Based on what that one reporter was saying about the Mexican press event, the attack on D'Qar is the first 10-13 minutes of the movie.

    We’ve seen eye-to-eye on a lot of things, @Pomojema , but I can’t imagine any reason good enough to warrant revealing what the first ten minutes of the film are, or aren’t, based on the reports of what I’d imagine is a pretty reliable resource.

    Not necessarily.

    Hyperspace travel isn't instantaneous - a trip across what's effectively half the GFFA would likely take hours, or possibly even days considering that they're going to a planet that isn't on a standard hyperspace route. The Resistance was already leaving D'Qar, from the looks of things, and that was days after Starkiller Base was annihilated.

    Hasn’t got much to do with TLJ, but it’s a real feel-good read, so I hope the mods/staff will allow it to remain here. It serves as an honest and genuine reminder to us all that Mark Hamill is as great a real-life hero as Luke Skywalker is a fictional one.
