    I'm wondering. If the movie is to pick up where TFA left off, maybe there will be a jump forward in time during the movie. VIII beginning where TFA left off, it doesn't give Rey much time to train at all. I'm assuming her and Kylo will face off for the second time and It seems she will be unprepared. I remember Luke rushing off to cloud city and Anakin charging at Dooku. Both we're unprepared for what they were up against. Perhaps Rey will have her back against the wall and will have no choice but to fight especially if the rumors of The Knights of Ren showing up on Ach-To hold true. Who better to have by your side than Luke when going into a duel unprepared.

    If this movie picks up EXACTLY where it left off in TFA, how would there be enough time to pass for Rey to be frustrated with Luke's teachings? Could there be a time jump of a few weeks after the opening?
    I agree. Another parallel in the second act.

    And more importantly, how would Luke's cloak get that dirty in the span of, like, three minutes? Is there a scene missing where he pretends to be Santa Claus and he jumps down a chimney?

    Well, look how far she came (no pun intended:p) in TFA which takes place in what? just a few days? So, if the Force is "awaking" within her, it is possible she could improve dramatically in just a few lessons.

    I'm as excited as anyone to see Episode 8. I was really hoping to see a trailer when I see Rogue One. I read it's not going to happen. One thing I can do without is the spoilers!!! It's so hard to avoid all the crap floating around. From leaked dialogue to speculation on what the movie will reveal. Doesn't anyone want to be surprised and blown away when they do get to see it?!?!

    There are different camps when it comes to spoilers. There are many like you who want to be spoiler free to have the ultimate surprise factor. Then there are those like myself who really enjoy the spoilers. To me knowing story beats ahead of time doesn't take away my enjoyment when watching the movie, as I enjoy seeing if 1. The spoilers were right and 2. How the filmmakers and actors executed the descriptions of scenes I have read about. I also like to see what might have been changed as there are always last minute edits.

    That being said, I avoid the spoilers once the movie premiere's as pre-release there is always the likelihood of them being wrong but it is truly spoiled once the movie is out and start talking.

    I know it is kindle of strange but that is the beauty of it. One can go all in on spoilers and another can completely avoid them yet both can have a great movie experience

    While I am super-excited to see Rogue One, I can hardly wait for the deluge of VIII information that may come pouring in once RO is "old news." Making Star Wars.com, for example, is holding onto a plethora of juicy tidbits that they decidedly will not release until after RO due to respect for that film (and not to mention they're still fact-checking a few of their sources before they release the info.)
