What actually happened to Jar Jar??

Within a few years of the release of Revenge of the Sith, I read a theory that Jar Jar was on Alderaan with his friend and fellow Rebel Bail Organa when the Death Star destroyed the planet. That always seemed a likely explanation to me.

After RotS, other possible paths could include Jar Jar's retirememt from politics, following his realized failure. You can't help but hurt for him at Padme's funeral... he seems to be fully aware that he shares responsibility for Palpatine's rise to Emperor and Padme's death. He may have left the galactic stage in shame.

On the other hand, perhaps he decided to *take* responsibility, by remaining a senator, and plotting with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to undo what Palpatine (and, regretably, Jar Jar) did.

Maybe Palpatine felt it necessary to tie up the loose end, and "took care" of Jar Jar, whether by some kind of banishment (hesa clumsy), imprisonment, or murder.

Maybe he survived the Galactic Civil War, as a senator (until ANH) and a Rebel (until Jakku), and was once again a senator, or other political figure, in the New Republic. Or maybe, as stated before, he retired, and remained so.

Maybe he died during Starkiller's Destruction of the Hosnian system. Or maybe he's a lucky surviving senator, and is still around.

Too many possibilities.

 

Lol someone could photoshop Jar Jar's face onto that or Han's face onto that and it would still work .

Another theory that I heard around the release of ROTS was that Palpatine actually thanked him for paving the way to making him he emperor and set him up in a palace or something .

 

I figured he was depressed, I wonder where he was all this time.

My completely unfounded fan theory follows the idea that jar jar felt great shame and sorrow after ROTS. he indeed got convinced to work with bail organa. He died a redemptive death somehow sacrificing himself to foil a plot on naboo of the emperor's.

 

Apart from what wookieepedia says I would have liked this outcome for Jar Jar,
