    Honestly, my favorite moment was Luke calling out how stupid the idea was to bring one man to face an entire nation. That was one of my pet peeves about TFA’s plot. “We need to find Luke Skywalker!” Oh yeah? To do what exactly?

    I enjoyed the whole movie right up until the first joke fell flat on it's face, then the movie went down hill from there.

    I loved Snoke's disappointment with Kylo. "Take off that ridiculous thing." Wow. Snoke just gut punched him. Grow up and quit the fassade.

    Every scene with Luke Skywalker. I like his sarcasm. The scene where Holdo rams the SSD. pretorian guard fight, its good to see what the guards can actually do, and that last part was rad. Space battles were cool, reminded me of WW2 movies. Green milk.

    I just don’t get this negativity, ok I’m class of 77 so I know what pain feels like(prequels, Han standing on jabbas tail etc) but what does make a fan happy, you moan when Ryan does something different, come on SWTFA was good; but it is a slight copy of the great 77 thrill ride, firstly leia floating, in SWTROJ Luke clearly states his family is strong with the force, but the movie ended to soon to see what leia could do, and no one ever gave her the chance to show what kind of power she would have, Ryan gave us that and I don’t think that was a bad thing, Snoke doesn’t need a back story; we already know enough about palpatine so to drag another “ who was Snoke and where did he come from, is just not needed, this movie gave me the impression that anyone could be both sith or Jedi's and I thought that was cool and a way forward for the future, the same with rays parents, Snoke tried to use her family to get her to turn I’m sure episode 9 will clear that up, it may even be E10, so no rush there ( to know her parents etc) yes I must admit the casino part was not great, I really don’t like it when we see people riding on animals that don’t look great ( remember SWAOTC ) but for me that was the real only part I disliked, after all what do we want in a Star Wars movie, Kylo is great, Rey also, yeah general harks is pretty poor but the cast ain’t bad, ( I don’t like when Poe keeps calling BB 8 buddy, and hugging him) all in all I liked it very much, yoda was excellent,about time to someone used a proper puppet( shame on you Lucas) and his interactions with Luke was cool, I’d like to see those at at’s going hell for leather next time, that battle was actually quite original using the salt surface , may the force be with everyone on this site, byeeeeeeee

    I love that and the fact that he DID end up doing exactly that but in a ‘certain point of view’ sort of way.

    I love that Finn gets a taste of ‘real life’ outside of immediate battle. He has to look at the FO and Resistance and TPTB with clear, sober eyes to make his choice to be Rebel scum.

    I love that Poe was as ‘privileged’ as Kylo in a way and needed to learn wisdom and that life is too precious for short-term thinking.

    I think that Adam Driver was wonderful in this movie. I think that Mark Hamill killed it. And Carrie Fisher and Laura Dern were great.

    Yeah that was cool, mirrored palpatine when he killed Darth Plagueis ( although you didn’t see that) Rian nailed this very well indeed, I wonder if Kylo will be both lord and apprentice, no need for two when on3 can rule all, or maybe harks will turn full sith apprentice to Kylo the master, wait til E9

    You didn't catch the backstory of the KOR and who Kylo's apprentices already are. I mean obviously Rey turned him down. But Luke said that Ben must have thought he was dead and when Luke pulled himself out of the rubble, Kylo had left with some of the other students. Luke said there were 12 students. There are 8 KOR or were at one time. Perhaps he will have a whole bevy of dudes (not unlike Snoke's guards).

    Before Luke on Ahch-to disappears he's looking at a Binary Sunset... Ahch-to only has a single sun. Did RJ trick us with a Hologram Luke projecting a Hologram Luke from Tatooine? And how could Luke's Hologram Dice last beyond when he faded from Ahch-to?

    No particular favorite moment. I liked the music. At 85 John Williams gets Star Wars more than RJ.

    Well i could point main 3 moments in TLJ which were very emotional for me:
    - Luke on the bridge of the Falcon
    - R2D2 and "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi..."
    - ending scene including stables
    And from visual and action perspective the duel with the Pretorians.
    Hell Yeah - my favourite lightsabre scene since Duel of the Fates (TPM)

    I forgot about this until the other day: Poe braking his X-Wing like it's race care and making 180° turn.

    Which we have never seen an X Wing do before....because it can't be done.

    Could this be a plot hole ?

    Rey's troublemaking moments with the Caretakers. No doubt they were glad when she took off the millennium falcon. No more walls used for blaster practice & carts destroyed by falling rocks caused by lightsaber training. (blue)

    I liked the introduction scene to the casino planet. Never thought I see something like that in SW, but I found it very interesting that they did put that in there.

    I loved the first eight Star Wars films (1-7 and Rogue One) equally, but I'm not gonna lie and say I also loved The Last Jedi because I honestly didn't. To me, it felt weak compared to the other Star Wars films and I can absolutely sympathize with those who disliked it as well. There's definitely a lot of horrible things about this movie. However, if there's anything I learned from being a lifelong movie fanatic, it's that a bad film can indeed have some good moments. That's right. Having been inspired by Nostalgia Critic's Top 11 Star Wars Prequel Moments video, I decided to create a thread discussing the good things about The Last Jedi.

    (The Cantina pulls out their weapons and points them at AO98)

    WAIT!!! Wait! Please just hear me out.

    (The Cantina puts down their weapons)

    Thank you.

    Anyway, I've picked out 19 good things from The Last Jedi. Why 19 though? Well, for starters, that was as many good things from the movie as I could think of. But also because Anakin was 19 in Attack of the Clones, Luke was 19 in A New Hope and Rey is 19 in the new trilogy. Well, at least just The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. We still don't know what time-frame Episode IX will be set in, so we'll have to see what happens.

    And you know, considering I really didn't like the movie, 19 good things is quite an exception.

    Also, just so you know, this is gonna be filled with spoilers, so... yeah. Stop reading if you haven't the movie yet.

    Alright, here we go...

    * Number 19: Luke's line, "Impressive. Every word in that sentence was wrong."
    You may be wondering why this is on the list. Well, because I think Luke/Mark just gave us an awesome new meme ;)

    * Number 18: Luke Messing with Rey
    Like a lot of those who disliked the film, I'm not really in favor of the MCU-style humor they used in the movie. However, this particular humor, I have to make an exception. It's really kinda funny how Luke used a little leaf or plant or whatever to trick Rey for a second and make her think she's learning the ways of the Force. And also, just the way Rey says "OW!" after Luke smacks her on the hand with the plant was absolutely adorable.

    As a matter of fact, I'm gonna make that...

    * Number 18.5: The way Rey says "OW!"
    It's just so cute, what can I say? ;)

    * Number 17: Use of Flashbacks
    Rather than another Force vision, we are treated with flashbacks that explain what happened between Kylo Ren and Luke Skywalker. It's on my list because I think it was refreshing and even kinda cool to have a flashback scene in a Star Wars movie and for us to learn specific events through a specific character's point of view rather than finding out through someone else's Force vision.

    * Number 16: Captain Phasma
    Granted, Captain Phasma didn't get such a huge return in The Last Jedi as we hoped and yes, it is a bit of a shame she died in the movie, but I thought it was still cool just to see her again. And the fight scene between her and Finn was pretty epic. So was that last shot with one of her eyes opened up, revealing a part of her face underneath that mask.

    * Number 15: Kylo/Leia Reunion (Sort Of)
    Even though we didn't get an actual Kylo/Leia reunion scene, I thought the scene where he was about to blow her up but then changed his mind was close enough. It was quite a powerful scene if you ask me. Not to mention the look on Kylo's face after she is nearly killed by the surprise attack on the bridge of the Resistance ship.

    * Number 14: More Billie Lourd
    I'm glad that Billie Lourd (Carrie Fisher's real-life daughter) had a much bigger role in this film as her character Lt. Connix.

    * Number 13: Snoke's Scenes
    Yes, I am very angry that they killed off Supreme Leader Snoke too early. However, his scenes in The Last Jedi are still awesome. His confrontation with Kylo Ren after the events of The Force Awakens and then his confrontation with Rey later on. And it was pretty epic to finally see him in a physical appearance rather than a hologram.

    * Number 12: Kylo Smashing His Helmet
    The first time I saw the movie, I actually really enjoyed this particular scene. I loved watching Kylo get all furious after his confrontation with Snoke and taking it out on his helmet. And then when the elevator opens, he yells at two First Order workers before walking away and leaving his damaged helmet behind in the elevator. Granted, some would say they prefer having him wear the helmet throughout the movie, but we kinda already got that in The Force Awakens. Plus, maybe Kylo has several backup helmets lined up that he can wear in Episode IX. We'll have to see what happens.

    * Number 11: Kylo Becoming Supreme Leader
    Even though I am angry that they killed off Snoke, the fact that Kylo Ren has made himself the new Supreme Leader of the First Order was still pretty cool. It's gonna be interesting to see how that plays out in Episode IX. And Kylo Force-choking General Hux was also pretty epic. Seriously, I absolutely enjoyed that part.

    * Number 10: Luke on the Millennium Falcon
    I thought that scene with Luke on the Falcon, reuniting with R2-D2 and re-watching Leia's holographic message to Obi-Wan from A New Hope was pure awesome.

    * Number 9: The Porgs

    (The Cantina pulls out their weapons once again and point them at AO98)

    Wait! Wait! Again, just hear me out.

    (The Cantina puts down their weapons)

    Some might not have been too hyped about the Porgs and some might not have liked them in the movie. However, I honestly thought they were adorable in the film. Their first appearance was when they were messing around with the Skywalker family lightsaber. That was pretty cute. Then they watch Chewbacca roast a Porg and try to eat it. That one particular Porg that stayed around and looked all sad at Chewie was also pretty adorable and it made me kinda emotional to be honest. Then the way they were driving Chewie insane in the Falcon was also pretty cute. The Porgs are actually kinda cute, what can I say? :)

    * Number 8: Carrie Fisher's Final Appearance
    Even though one of my biggest issues with The Last Jedi is that Leia/Carrie didn't have so much to do in this film as she should have, it was still good to see her on the big screen one last time.

    * Number 7: Luke's Final Moments
    Even though I hate that they killed off Luke and wish they had kept him alive for Episode IX, I thought his final moments were actually very well done. Him sitting on a cliff on Ahch-Tu looking out at the suns and then fading away with the classic "Binary Sunset" music in the background was actually quite nice.

    * Number 6: Kylo & Rey vs. The Praetorian Guards
    I have to admit this scene is actually really cool. Watching Kylo & Rey team up to fight the Praetorian Guards was actually quite epic.

    * Number 5: Luke/Leia Reunion
    Even though we now know it wasn't the real Luke but instead a Force projection (though it was pretty obvious since he looked way younger than he was on Ahch-Tu), it was still nice to see Luke/Mark and Leia/Carrie reunite on-screen. I think that's what everybody was waiting for with The Last Jedi.

    * Number 4: Uncle vs. Nephew
    Again, even though it was just a Force projection of Luke, I still thought the fight scene between Kylo Ren and Luke Skywalker was epic. It was awesome to finally see Adam Driver and Mark Hamill on-screen together. I think that's something else we've all been waiting for with The Last Jedi.

    * Number 3: The Return of Yoda
    I thought it was awesome to see Yoda again. Granted, I was really hoping Anakin and/or Obi-Wan would come back. Honestly, I think it would have been a more powerful scene if they asked Hayden Christensen to come back as Anakin's Force Ghost for that scene. The father/son reunion between Luke and Anakin a lot of us have wanted to see. And it would have added more meaning to Hayden's appearance at Star Wars Celebration Orlando. Plus, there's a chance it would have helped Hayden's career by proving he's not as bad of an actor as everybody thinks. Have him and Yoda talk with Luke together. Maybe also invite Ewan McGregor and just give him a gray wig & beard and dub his voice with that of Stephen Stanton (who voiced Obi-Wan in Rebels) to maintain continuity with the original trilogy. But regardless, I still thought it was cool to see Yoda again. It was nice to see at least one of the Force ghosts return rather than none at all.

    * Number 2: John Williams Score
    Honestly, I don't know how anyone could disagree with this. John Williams' scores are always epic ;)

    * Number 1: Finn/Rey Reunion
    This is number-one for me because I am a total FinnRey shipper and it was absolutely heartwarming to see these two reunite at the end of the film. I really hope to see more of these two together in Episode IX and hopefully they'll finally end up together.

    Alright, I did it. I wrote up 19 good things about The Last Jedi. And 19 is definitely an exception considering I really didn't like the film. Aside from these 19 things, everything else was just... ugh. Especially that scene where Luke was milking a creature. What were they thinking?!

    Anyway, that's everything good that I can think of. I still don't like the movie, but I'm glad there are some out there who can find enjoyment out of it.

    Is there anything good about the movie that YOU can think of? It doesn't even have to be 19. It can be a lower or even a higher number. Feel free to discuss anything good you found in the movie if there was any at all.

    Happy Holidays and may the Force be with you!

    EDIT: Not sure why this was merged into another thread, but okay.
