    Good grief! No, it wouldn't be the most mind-boggling Star Wars twist. To me, it sounds like a fantasy within a fantasy.

    its important to note that Luke creates a new green light saber in a unused Return of the Jedi scene. When Luke later faces Vader & Sheev P in the throne room, its the same green saber.

    the biggest connection to obi-wan i can think of is that Luke went back to his old house on Tattooine and found Qui-Gon's old crystal to use since he couldnt find any new ones
    .
