SPECULATION What if Snoke became more powerful that we could imagine?

God i hope this isnt whats going to happen, it would basically be a repeat of the first two films except this time he turns good.

 

This will happen. You just need to look at the anti heroes journey or the 3-act-structure. ;D

 

but it hasn't been a 3 act structure it will be the same structure 3 films in a row except at the end of the 3rd one he turns good.

 

I don't think that scene was calculated by Snoke to go the way it did. You can see the surprise on his face the moment Kylo strikes him with the lightsaber. The point was to show how overconfidence was Snoke's biggest weakness, as shown before for Palpatine.

I also agree with others that say that Kylo left the scene being the same Kylo he was before it, with the only difference being that he's now in charge.

Kylo did kill Snoke. However, there may be some truth to what Snoke says that he "cannot be beaten", perhaps in the same way as Obi-Wan said to Vader that he could not win because if he would strike him down, Obi-Wan would "become more powerful than you could ever imagine", therefore this thread's title, I suppose.

So, could/did Snoke achieve immortality through some outer-body manifestation, something equivalent to force ghosts? Who knows. But, he sure seems to have been killed, like Obi-Wan was. Could he still manifest in some alternative way? Perhaps. But it's not necessary for the story in my opinion. Also, if his physical body was not so important, I don't think you'd need so many guards.
