What is the best star wars movie?

If that's the case, then there is no "best" STAR WARS film. There is no best. We're talking about the entertainment business in which people's opinions are based upon preference. So, there is no best.

 

Agreed. There is no best just individual preferences and perspectives, which are fun to share and debate. But truth depends greatly on our own point of view.

 

Each generation has its own trilogy in a sense. It's all Star Wars. Some chapters and movies speak closer to some people than others. To disparage someone's favorite as being lesser Star Wars is fandom at its worst.

 

Quite right. Which is why I don't do it. No opinion can be deemed right or wrong as opinions are personal to the individual. I find the comment by Simon Pegg, for example, about not being able to take seriously anyone who enjoys the prequels, to be especially offensive. The implication is that Pegg - and anyone else who thinks that way - somehow knows better is ludicrous.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite because I look at the original triology as 1 big movie and they are my 3 favorite movies of all time.

I really rate all the OT as highly, amazing. And yes, TFA is up there with them. It was fantastic.

The opening few minutes of ROTS was outstanding! By far the best of the PT. And for what it's worth, I didn't hate the PT... they were decent, just wasn't as good as the old ones.

At the bottom of every post, you will see the little Star Wars symbols, like Yoda, chewie, and such. Pick one of them. The Rebel symbol is the like button.
