What was your Clone Theory?

I looked up Alice Cooper I thought he meant with the black hair etc, maybe your right about the rancor minder.

 

Is he at Jabba's palace?

I always assumed from at least middle school that this statement was self evident. Of course the Imperial storm troopers had been Republican troops, what else would they be? They were probably even called storm troopers. Same goes with the TIEs, Star Destroyers, and military leadership. That the Empire had an Imperial Senate at all indicates it was a gradual drip from republican to imperial governance, and many of the institutions would not have changed all that much in such a short period of time. I would suspect sections of the Galaxy would not have even known the difference, or cared much, between the Republic and the Empire - at least until the Senate was disbanded and Alderaan blown up.

This my biggest continuity problem with the PT. The idea that the galactic government went from no military to the military might we see in the Empire in less than 25 years is beyond unbelievable. The idea that the Republic would build a "clone" army out of thin air and suddenly become the Empire is ridiculous. And don't get me started on the battle droids.

It bothers me so much that I refused to watch the Clone Wars show for so long because it had those absurd battle droids and idiotic clones in it. I really like the show now on netflix so I'm glad I gave it a chance, but the only way I can enjoy it is to pretend the battle droids are the clones and the clone troopers are regular soldiers.
