What would you like to see in Episode IX?

Rey constructing a double-bladed lightsaber.
Dark-side decay in Kylo's body.
Maybe some new Force powers, or more Force-lightning.
A new planet and o prequel-trilogy planet. Since Hosnian-Prime was destroyed, maybe Coruscant is important again.
Luke Force ghost - and maybe Luke fulfilling his promise to "always be with Kylo" - like haunting him in his sleep.
Lightsaber on lightsaber fight.
Perhaps even some politics.

 

No I don't think so but it's not really the point. Kylo Ren nihilistic stance is to erase everything that does not fit his views and Finn coming back, not afraid and probably more prepared would be an additional proof of his utter failure, of being haunted by the things he destroyed. I mean, Kylo Ren said 'you're nothing but not to me' to Rey : he negates the very existence of Finn who is the living proof that she is someone to at least one person.

I feel like this face off must happen.

-Finn

-Hux standing up for himself
-Kylo turning into a wrinkly old man

 

So many have already touched on many of these, but I’d like to see:

-Time jump of several years.

-Supreme Leader Ren using Vader’s castle on Mustafar as the center of his New Empire.

-Ren obstensibly in control, but NOT iron fisted like many want. Instead Luke’s sacrifice and legend has ignited hope and led to scattered open rebellion in several systems. Also there are massive internal power grabs going on within the empire much like in RO. So Ren is a “king,” but he’s more or less imprisoned in his own castle and lacks true power. Maybe the fact can be further played out with the Resistance staging a blockade of Ren on Mustafar, a nice parallel and call back to the blockade on Naboo that started this all, but now with the good guys doing the blockade. Maybe even have Leia leading the blockade, showing her resolve now against her own son.

-Ren being haunted by Anakin’s force ghost, who is attempting to convince Ren of Anakin’s own mistakes in life. Ren’s ignoring it, but it’s also driving him mad, almost King Leer or Macbethian in the staging, more so given Ren’s place in a castle where he is trapped and alone.

-Rey is a full Jedi, but there’s still a bit of ambiguity, like with Luke at the beginning of ROTJ. She has a new lightsaber that she designed and it’s awesome. Chewie and her have grown close and make a good team. They still use the Falcon to get around.

-Rey must use her powers of persuasion to resolve a seedy issue that is plaguing the Resistance. Another call back to dispatching Jedi to resolve conflicts like in Episode I, or Luke at Jabba’s Castle in Episode VI.

-Knights of Ren and bounty hunters are a constant threat to Rey, she is basically most wanted in the galaxy.

-Luke, Yoda, and/or Obi Wan mentoring Rey. Nothing crazy...just sort of like Obi Wan’s last pep talk was to Luke before he faced Vader.

-See old and new planets. In addition to Mustafar, I personally would like to see Tatooine, Coruscant, and Nal Hutta.

-As much chemistry as there was between Driver and Ridley, Reylo doesn’t become a thing. She has more of a “you could have had this, but now it’s too late” attitude when dealing with him.

-Either Snoke’s not dead or there is something new in terms of a weapon (no more Death Stars) or the dark side...just some story element that the Mary Sue complaints are silenced forevermore.

-Massive final battle, something that definitely ends the Skywalker saga, while at the same time creating the start of a new age, a spring for the Force and a deep explanation of what it all means.

-Finn, Rose, Poe, and BB8 are all on their own adventure. Not sure I really care too much what it looks like, but it would be nice to see them all together working as a team on something. Finn and Rose are not a romantic thing (I never saw her love line as talking about romantic love anyways).

-Finally, for Pete’s sake, give R2 and 3PO something to do!!!

I would like to see Kylo Ren talk about his experiences with Rey from TLJ, both to Rey and to other characters

 

Kylo: You should've seen us, Hux.

Hux: Who?

Kylo: Me, and her. Rey.

Hux: Ah, the Jedi girl.

Kylo: We were something. First Snoke was like but I was and then Snoke was like ... Hux? Hux?

Hux: Yes, yes, I'm listening.

Kylo: I find your lack of interest disturbing.

Hux [choking]: Long live... the Supreme... Leader!
Kylo: And then the Praetorian Guard. Ha! They were like and we were like, oh yeah?

Hux: Incredible, Supreme Leader. Simply incredible. No one would believe it.

Kylo: Yeah. Incredible.

Rey going to Coruscant..with Broomstick boy as Padawan?

 

-Knights of Ren and Kylo motivation (eternal life - like Anakin< Plagueis< Snoke and Palpatine)
- 3 years after TLJ
-What does Kylo mean with 'I'm going to destroy it all"
-Finn and First Order Stormtrooper Revolt (completion of the Finn arc)
-Someone's death, Rey brings that person back to life (Finn?) --> an act of love?
-Supreme Leader Ren's vision for the Galaxy. I'd love it if he calls himself emperor and considers Vader's empire restored.
-Vader's castle
-Moral ambiguity/ third way thinking
-Lando's Republic fleet "avenging a fallen friend".
-Big space battle/Big land battle (I really like how Jakku has been depicted in the new canon. Would love to see a similar battle on screen)
-Rey back on Jakku - back in her AT-AT home
-Luke haunting Kylo
-Luke tutoring Rey
-Hux's double dealing with the resistance in an effort to gain power
- Finn as supreme leader. Just cool
- Poe's sacrifice (completion of his leadership arc)
- More 'throwing away the sabre or confrontation' philosophy
- More info on Rey's parents
- A new understanding of the past, present and future in the force - a way to break the cataclysmic cycle of the war between light and dark
- More Kylo's weaponized empathy in his confrontation with Rey. There must be a confrontation with Rey
- What's Rey's place in all this. What is her purpose. Besides a counter to the rising dark, what is Rey's purpose in the larger meta-narrative of the saga? We all want to prove Kylo wrong!

BUT I WILL NOT BE ACTING LIKE A SPOILED KID WHEN I DON'T GET THE PRESENTS I'D WANTED FOR CHRISTMAS.

 

- Time Jump MINIMUM 3 years. Max 5.
- Begin it with Leias funeral. Scroll can fill us in on what happened. I think that they should make her death natural but still heroic in some way.
- Poe is in command of the Resistance.
- Lando returns in an advisory role / important contact to the Resistance. I think it would be cool if he could get them some new tech.
- OT/PT ALIENS! (Bring Shriv Suurgav into the live action platform please)
- Kylo is calling himself Emperor. Base on Mustafar, Vader's Castle. Knights of Ren (if they still exist) are finally brought in as his version of the Praetorian Guard but are more involved and have secondary power roles within the First Order. They use lightsabers and have limited knowledge of The Force. (the handful of students he took from Luke's Temple)
- Snoke's supposed other apprentice (older male) returning and causing some trouble for Kylo. Kylo kills him.
- Hux is still Kylo's lackey. He should make an attempt on Kylo's life during a crucial moment where stuff is going down and be killed for good, thus sort of redeeming him as a power player, but still failing.
- Phasma returns but is no longer working for the FO (presumed dead). She does not wear her mask and is in a different outfit. Finn does not recognize her. Things are very personal.
- Rey has come very far in her training. She has built her own lightsaber. Luke is present as a Force Ghost. She and Luke have 2 or 3 students. Ages between 14 and 20.
- Kylo dreams of his first meeting with Snoke and other Snoke flashbacks. Quick flashes. Snoke is still having an impact on him and he is not happy about it.
- More Force/Jedi/Sith/Balance Lore
- Rey and Students trip to Coruscant (no longer controlled by FO or NR but has been taken over by many Crime Syndicates) disguised as tourists to visit Jedi Temple.
- Space Battle over Mustafar. No mega-weapons. Maybe one new big bad ship design.
- Kylo and KoR VS Rey and Students at Vader's Castle. A KoR kills one of the new Padawans. Rey has a moment of darkness and rage-kills the KoR. Kylo taunts her, but she prevails over the darkness. Students are incapacated, all present KoR are dead. Rey V-S Kylo. Rey leaves Kylo mortally wounded and takes pity on him. Kylo attempts a sneak attack to kill Rey but her remaining student (broom kid?) uses the force to end him thus ending the Skywalker line as we know it.

I rambled and these are just ideas im having now in the moment but they could change or grow. This is not in order of how i see these things happening plot wise btw. Thoughts?

I want to see Kylo isolated and haunted. I’d love a scene where he’s in Vader’s Castle surrounded by his new Knight of Ren. We will find out in order to become the Master of the KOR, you have to fight to the death. Last one standing is Master.

Anyway, I want him to be having these delusions and hearing voices the entire film. I want him paranoid that the bogey man is around the corner. I want him seeing images of Han. I want him seeing images of Leia. I want him killing his own officers and just gradually becoming unhinged. He will end up the one taking down the First Order from within due to his reckless behavior. Mistakes will be made. Battles lost due to his visions and voices he will be hearing.

Finally, it will be revealed to him that the whole time, it was Luke causing the visions and voices that made Kylo lose it.

 

- Coruscant or chandrilla as a base of operation hidden but in sight sort of thing.

- 3-5 year time jump. This allows Rogue one style movies/books/comics to flesh out the trilogy. In time if they can make movies that concentrates on the Knights of Ren taking out Rebel cells in the lead up to episode 9.

- Bring in Wedge as a General that went into hiding as Hosin Prime got destroyed. He could form a high chain of command with Nein Nub, Connix and Poe. They can even cast a new actor that closely resembles him if the orginal guy doesnt want too.

- Force Ghost Obiwan and Yoda training Rey and her padawans with Force Ghost Luke and Anakin taunting Kylo.

- A massive Fleet battle at the end...no Death Stars please. I wouldnt mind it being a big battle to distract The FO while gets to the planet to battle Kylo.

- No snoke he was too Palpatine 2.0 for my liking. Loved his scenes but i feel if he was to come back it would clog the movie.

 

Time jump of 3-5 years.

Start with Leia's funeral on Naboo & bury her next to Padme

More Jedi. Not a lot, but Rey should have a few apprentices

Either Snoke to be present in some form or fashion or more backstory on who he is/where he comes from/where he's been this whole time.

Something that really surprises me.

 

I would like to see a well written story for once.

 

What would be super interesting is for the final battle to have 3 battles.

1. Rey & Apprentices vs Kylo Ren & Knights of Ren
2. The Resistance vs the First Order
3. Luke vs Snoke ( if there is a nether world )

 

A tribute to Kenny Baker, who died four months before Carrie Fisher and somehow they "forgot" to pay tribute and thanks to Kenny in Episode 8's end credits as well.
