SPECULATION Where was Luke's academy ?

Yeah, I am one that thinks there was not necessarily students killed, but something else. And there probably wasn't an academy as we might think of, a Jedi Military School or any such thing. It sounds like Luke was mobile. It may have been a small group, just traversing around, and it's possible they are part of the Knights of Ren, or something else and were not murdered, but maybe they all turned on Luke. Luke or whoever had contact with Luke may have told Han from his perspective, and Han wasn't exactly clear telling Finn and Rey what happened, plus, he may have covered some things up, or distorted the view, since it was more personal.

The scene in the vision too has been suggested to be the future, or it could be. I don't think it was the destruction of the temple or Luke's work, but something else.

 

Maybe Ach-To is a giant water world so luke coud be literally anywhere and had the ability to hide his fs and also Ben only had his mission to find his old master right before the events of TFA

They look like bodies to me. The last shoot of that scene shows another body very clearly.

 

I fully agree those are bodies in that specific shot .

Isn't it possible that the scene in the flashback in the rain where Kylo impales someone IS where he destroys Luke's Jedi apprentices? Perhaps by calling him Jedi Killer and "Master of the Knights of Ren" the First Order and Snoke are implying that Luke's apprentices were actually known as the Knights of Ren. The Jedi Knights Reborn. I read somewhere that one meaning of Ren was "reborn."

Now you may say, "But Dark Toilet, in the scene, Kylo is surrounded by Knights of Ren that seem to be on his side!" Sure, but who is to say that immediately after this scene, Kylo doesn't turn around and slaughter them all? The high-res images appear to show bodies and that there was some sort of battle. Once the Jedi Knights of Ren successfully defeated those bodies, their guard would be down and Kylo could surprise them...

But that's my point... the way that Snoke says it seems almost as though he is mocking Kylo. "Even you, Master of the Knights of Ren, have never faced such a test..." Meaning, "You are the master of the Knights of Ren because you managed to cut down Luke's acolytes in the infancy of their training when no one expected it... but you haven't even begun to face the difficult challenge of confronting your own family and the Last of the Jedi." After all, Snoke calls for Kylo Ren to "complete his training" at the end.

I think by "Master of the Knights of Ren," Snoke is mocking Kylo for killing a bunch of padawans, not fully trained Jedi Masters.

Alternatively, Kylo "destroyed it all" by converting Luke's "Knights of Ren" to his dark side cause. Either way, the Knights of Ren are surely tied close to Luke's "academy" (that wasn't an "academy" per Pablo).

With regard to the question of this thread, I think Luke's academy/not academy was perhaps like a traveling circus, not tied to any one location.

 

Skywalker's School for Forcecraft and Sithery will be on Yavin 4 or unknown planet.

 

If I had to guess from a known planet in the SW canon I would guess Devaron

 

I think the force vision of the KOR is of the future.

I also think that the vision of Luke and R2 could be Jeddha
