SPECULATION Who is the Ancient Fear?

It would be funny if Ancient Maz Kanata is THE Ancient Fear.

 

Oh I know who Darth Ruin is, it's so obvious now: Darth Ruin is Jar-Jar Binks. I presume you guys have seen the "Jar-Jar is Snoke" theory by now? All the strange things you see Jar-Jar doing in the prequels like mouthing people's words and doing Jedi feats? Well: Darth Ruin? That describes Jar-Jar exactly. His face is the symbol of ruin to a huge group of people. Jar-Jar is ruin. "Jar-Jar ruined Star Wars!" Who else could be Ruin? Supreme Leader Snoke aka Jar-Jar Binks aka Darth Ruin. In the prequels Jar-Jar was manipulating everyone in the movie to move toward conflict, to the ruin of the Old Republic, while at the same time manipulating everyone in the audience to hate his facade of a character, to the ruin of the prequels. It's like ruin to the next level. Truly Binks must be Darth Ruin.

And anyway, "AN ANCIENT EVIL AWAKENS" has always been one of the laziest and worst possible story arcs to commit to. It's always used by writers looking for a cop-out, because they can get around explaining things like motivation and personality by stating the villain is just really old and bad and generally incomprehensible on purpose.

I'm actually really glad we've had zero indication that it's going to be the actual plot.

 

The Ancient Fear is Plagueis

 

Even if Plagueis was in the film, he hardly counts as "ancient", unless "60 years ago" is the same thing as ancient.

Anakin was to bring balance to the Force. Luke is possessed by the Force Ghost Palpatine. Luke is fighting him inside himself and has secluded himself in a place where if Palpatine where to take him over completely he would be trapped. Light and Dark trapped in a single person for 30? years? Time for Balance to end as the Force Awakens.
