At the end of episode 7, we see Luke standing on the hill meditating. To his right appears to be what i took as a gravestone sticking out of the ground.
Could it be Luke's wife/Rey's mother? Or the final resting place for someone else?

I believe its supposed to be the first Jedi Temple. Perhaps one of the first Jedi?

It's probably Vader burried. That's how Kylo got the helmet. He probably got it when luke had Vader body at the old temple. Luke probably moved vaders headless body to the new temple.

Only noticed it on the second viewing, definitely something there. Could be that Luke sensed Han's death and built a memorial for him. No clue after that.

Not really, but since that island is supposed to be the first Jedi temple, there shouldn't be any graves or memorials there, in that case. Maybe it's not a grave at all.

Included a picture of actual gravestones on Skellig Michael. Looks very similar and similar in size so it'a probably an actual one that was there rather than a prop. Suggests it probably won't mean anything.

Watched movie twice, specifically looked for the grave. What I seen was a slender stone slab jutting up about knee high out of the ground. Was that what you are referring to or did I miss it again??

Most likely answer would be Luke's wife, Reys mum

If it is an actual grave meant to be in the movie I'll go out on a limb and say it's Rey's. I don't think Luke was the one who dropped Rey off on Jakku.

If it's not just a coincidental landmark they couldn't move, then definitely Rey's mother.

It is very noticeable though and doesn't look like part of the natural landscape.

Well they couldn't legally remove anything, even digitally, but it's probably just a rock and we are extrapolating too muh.

It's almost definitely a grave. And Luke is staring down at it when Rey approaches him.

Either they'll explain it in 8, or it was a strictly aesthetic design.

Saw it for the second time last night and was watching out for this. I don't think there's any significance to it, I'm not even sure it is a grave and if it is, the person interned there is a 6th century AD Irish monk and maybe a 25K BBY Jedi ;)
