    1) Huh? What more do you want than great actors? Even if there was an agenda in play (which I don't accept)...who cares? If the movie only hired jews, or people that were 5"10 or left handed people....how does that change the enjoyment of a film?
    2) If it misslead you, then you weren't paying attention to the lack of luke in the marketing or the opening crawl.
    6) This was dumb to me too
    8) I didn't get this either. Why did Han ask "where was the falcon...Jakku! the junk yard?" How could he not know he was above Jakku?
    9) Finn says "can you reverse it?" Then Han comes in. I don't think she had time to reverse it.
    10) Dude, those are just trailers. You hear obi-wan dialogue from ANH playing over the rogue one trailer. Do you expect Obi-wan to show up and actually say these lines?
    11) I think she was from the academy. If this doesn't bear out, then I'd agree with you.
    13) bb woke him up
    14) No cameo or reference to Jabba or Moff jerjerod either. You are right, what a dumb movie.

Yes. I really loved the first scene - the attack on the Jakku village. Everything worked really well for me in that scene. Kylo Ren came over as sinister and powerful with the force (who doesn't love the freezing of the blaster shot?!) Poe Dameron came over really cool in that scene, I liked his devil may care attitude when confronted by Kylo Ren. John Boyega (Finn) and JJ Abrams did a great job of conveying his bewilderment behind his stormtrooper helmet after losing a friend and witnessing the murder of innocent villagers. I loved BB8 from this first scene, just the way he/she moves and conveys emotion (star of the movie for me).
I thought the kylo Ren scene mind raping Poe Dameron with the force worked well. At this point I thought the masked Kylo Ren was pretty intense and intimidating.
I thought the initial bit with Rey shouting at teedo in his native tongue and looking really angry was great! I thought Daisy Ridley did a great acting job when it came to expressing big emotions like fear and anger (which can lead to the darkside). I liked her character to a point but maybe I will like her character more once we know more about her in Episode 8. I thought John Boyega gave a solid performance despite some of the not so funny dialogue he was given. A couple of things he said were really funny. I thought his character is one of the most interesting out of rhe main new characters and different to any character we've had before. I really liked the scene when Rey touched the lightsaber. I thought Harrison Ford did a great job in making an aged Han seem legit and he too had a couple of very funny lines. I thought the battle at maz' castle worked well but would have liked to have seen Captain Phasma fighting in that scene. The scene with Han and Kylo Ren was a very good scene. I thought the two actors did a fine job. Chewie should have gone absolutely nuts though (one shot wasn't enough for me). The lightsaber scene at the end was mostly good. That's a very rushed version of all the good things I can say. I have many more problems I had with the movie....

I actually prefer the novel to the film now. There's more detail in it and things make better sense too. I would recommend the novel to all. Its available in all good and bad bookstores! ;)

Yeah I liked the novel, but it was way inferior to the movie. Even at some points I seriously disliked the novel and just wanted to close it. There is good information in it. But it really wrecks both the original pacing and narrative structure of the movie as well as the emotional subtext of many of the scenes (why does poe's escape from Jakku come before the scene where his x-wings suprisingly show up at Maz Kanata's castle?I also find it lacking in spatial and atmosphere description. It is so emotionally shallow the novel, and in many cases seriously misinterprets both screenplay and visuals. I also got the impression that the author really wished to rush things at the end. The last scenes in the movie which take up to 15 minutes can be read in 5 in this novel.

Would make a good new thread. TFA novel discussion. Probably there allready.

What do you mean by "no no just what you liked"? Oh right I just got what you meant. No I'm not going to reel off things I didn't like. I've done enough of that already :)

Well, thank you to the Thread Creator for pointing out things that I am also a bit worried about that those happened but let´s face it. A close friend of mine knew JJ´s works better because he actually watched his stuff and knew it would be medicore at some instances. I wasn´t sure about anything. JJ was only known to me because of that Star Trek reboot. Blame him or those writers.

TFA was okay. But it hadn´t the same magic I hoped for. I hoped for JJ to be in his full element as for Kasdan and the whole team. They sure all were working like crazy but the direction was not that crazy good but save played. It could have turned out far more worse.

I and many of us have to or can accept that this movie was made. I surely hope that in the future some software will be available to shoot our own Star Wars movies just like we want them. But till this day we have what we got.

I gave up on Star Wars and Disney. Only Quality counts and not the next straw that they put out with some new hype they created to get me.

TFA has to get some rest and age like a wine does. Episode 8 has to pick up on what Episode 7 seeded out for the future. This also will show if future movies can survive on that line of work done before, in this case starting the Sequels with JJ.

Face it, TFA was not a perfect movie, and The Force didn't wake, I hate to say, has some points. But it was still a heck of a good movie.

Does everyone realize that this thread was by a one post troller (if you didn't think the thread title was trolling, the Boba Fett "rationale" should have clued you in), and was resurrected a month later by another one post poster?

Some things are better left dead . . . unless that thing is in fact Plagueis (or Maul or Boba Fett). j/k ;)

Agree with both, although Maul and Boba Fett are definitely better off dead. As for Plagueis...
