SPECULATION Wild speculation : rey discovered the millenium falcon crashed inside the crashed star destroyer

    In trailer 3 we see the millenium falcon getting chased by the tie fighter engulfed in flames ...
    we know that rey was looking for something inside the star destroyer ...
    We saw rey pilot the millenium falcon alone in the BTS Footage ... shes a scavenger and she is smart and knows how to repair machines meaning she found the millenium falcon that crashed in the star destroyer and brought it back to her base with the help of her big pig Luggabeast and repaired it ?

    I think the concept art shows the pig luggabeast pulling on an x-wing.

    look at the far left of the picture, its definitely the millenium falcon c0ckpit (that word is censored)

    and rey is a nobody, she wants to get out and her main motivation might be to find a ship

    True, something does appear in the background to look like the MF "c0ckpit" but the luggabeast is moving an x-wing. The trailer did, however, suggest that Rey wants off the planet when it showed a ship taking off followed by her intent (and longing?) gaze...

    I see the X-Wing, but if you look in the rubble in the background (bottom left of the picture) there appears to be the MF.

    I suspect you are right, she wants off planet. I just doubt that she actually found the MF inside a downed star destroyer. That would mean that in a prior battle, it was tractor beamed in... and then the star destroyer was brought down or scuttled. I would think that would cause far too much damage to the MF to be repaired and brought back into service. Call me crazy...

    Gave it a second look, compared it to some pictures of the MF, I can see the resemblance. I'll give it a maybe, but more than likely a coincidence. Plus it is only concept art, you've got three pieces equipment there, MF(maybe), X-Wing, and AT-AT.

    im sure the falcon is being chased insidein the star destroyer like we see it enter in trailer 2 and we have absolutely no idea who is the pilot. it could be nien numb who knows.

    I wonder if maybe the MF crashed during the battle of Jakku and was eventually salvaged by someone other than Rey, so she doesn't own it but she's aware of it being around. It's just concept art, so it might not mean anything at all, but it's still a good theory.

    Sorry, I am afraid I don't understand... I took the OP to mean that Rey found the MF inside an old downed star destroyer from the Battle of Jakku. I don't think we are going to see footage from 30 years earlier in the Battle of Jakku with the MF being tractor beamed in... No question the MF later, after perhaps being salvaged by Rey, is flown into the downed star destroyer, as they are attempting to escape from the First Order tie pilots. Unless I am mis-understanding the OP, I'm not sure what relation the clip at 1:55 has...

    I agree. Rey saw the leaked concept art so she knows the Falcon is nearby on Jakku.

    It would make an amazing scene if Rey stumbles upon it while spelunking in the Star Destroyer. That would be such a great moment for the audience to 'discover' the Falcon with her. She then tries to get it hauled out and someone comes by and confiscates the Falcon in the name of Plutt.

    Much better than a ship sitting in a bay and that just happens to be the one they steal to flee their pursuers.

    i never said that. im just saying the mf was pursued by a tie fighter and you see the mf engulfed in flames a 1:55. so that scene maybe occured 2 months before she discovered it

    Gotcha. I suspect that clip is of the MF later in the movie (i.e. Han Solo's rumored landing on Starkiller by coming straight out of hyperspace into the atmosphere, or something else), but I suppose anything is possible...

    EDIT: After looking at the clip again, it definitely looks like the tie is chasing the MF through the downed star destroyer... I think this is just a continuation of the Teaser 2 chase when Rey and Finn are trying to get off planet... The explosion is in front of the MF and then it flies through it, so the MF is not "on fire" or going down in that clip.

    I think it's a freaking awesome idea though. I would love to see her "find" the Falcon and do some repairs to get her going again. I would love that scene.

    If she got it running, technically she could fly it out of one of the hanger bay openings. might explain how she can maneuver through it so well later when being chased.
