SPECULATION Will Finn be The Last Jedi at the end of the Trilogy

I do regret that I once again let myself get frustrated by this user, and if he did ignore me perhaps that's for the best.

That being said, I do not seek out his posts, nor do I troll on here- I think I have plenty of other posts that demonstrate that. Go on, look at CR's and see if he's nearly as agreeable. Or, just look at his ratings, keeping in mind that his negative ratings aren't even from me.

I just think that it's kind of rude to constantly poke the same hole in people's theories. Just let people have their theories, and if you have to you can add your input once. You don't always have to be "right".

Anyway, back on topic- Finn as a possible Jedi. From what we've seen of what he's going to be doing in TLJ, is there anything that really supports this idea? Do we expect maybe even some sort of mind trick on accident, while infiltrating the FO, or something?

 

That's a good point. If it were to happen, having it occur during a fight with Phasma would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone- advancing Finn's plot as well as giving Phasma a worthy opponent.

Yeah... I just don't get why people get so worked up about stuff like that. Like, personally I don't think it's likely Finn is FS. But I don't think there's anything really stopping it from happening right now. Like, if I was Johnson or Trevorrow and I read these threads, I'd be sure that Finn somehow is FS just out of principle. If the fandom feels so vehemently sure of something, you gotta shake it up.

 

Nerp. Im sorry, but i highly doubt it. If you're hoping for it, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I've got some crazy theories of my own, i need to keep in check, just in case it doesn't happen. That way, i dont see the movie, and say no thats stupid, that's not the way it's supposed to be. Lol. That's how it was for me watching the prequels. I had my own story that i thought was better.

 

no, but her story is going there. Finn's isn't. If Finn was meant to be a Jedi he would have gone wtih Rey at the end of TFA.

I just think that if they don't do go the out and out reveal route, they might drop could-be hints like TFA. Or just reveal it in Episode IX. Anyway, I think there's still a possibility for reveal however they so it. But that's my own opinion.

Its storytelling. TFA builds to the future Jedi going off and finding the last Jedi to be her teacher. If Finn was going to go down the same path he'd have gone with her. By keeping him away from there they are setting him up for something different.

You basically want them to re-tell Rey's story from TFA with Finn in TLJ and then what, retell Rey's story in TLJ with Finn in Episode IX? Why would they double up on the story like that?

It just seems Finn isn't the Jedi type. He wasn't a pilot. He wasn't a warrior, really. I'm not going to say a definate no, because anything can happen, but nothing at this point leads to it.

 

Kylo tore him up man. He held his own for a while, but that was it. You can't even begin to compare finn with Rey when it comes to piloting or fighting. He's got skills because of FO training, but not jedi skills.

 

And when trying to desert the 1st Order he needed a pilot. So I am not sure short range transport and sky speeders necessarily compare to being a starfighter pilot.

Don't get me wrong I love Finn but he needed a pilot, had not been trained to be a gunner in TFA. He picks up fast but speeders strike me as cars. I can drive cars all day but I don't think of myself as a pilot.

He is growing. Great but they si far have distanced any clue he is going to be a jedi. It could change but it's only speculation.
