    Lando will return.

    He will be instantly drawn to Rey and praise her, have some implied romance with a animal/creature or *** because he's now a "pansexual", then die.

    Why bother? They are just going to kill him off like they did to Han + Luke and continue to suck the fun out of SW. Don’t get me wrong, I love Billy Dee Williams, but it’s probably too little too late. Would have loved to see Lando on screen w/Han, Luke + Leia.

    Putting Lando in Episode 9 is just to "lure" fans into seeing the film. I doubt that JJ really has anything for Billy Dee to do other than "show up". I did not see TLJ and probably won't see Ep 9 either. I have no desire to see characters I have grown up with be trashed in order to make way for others I couldn't care less about. Whatever they do to Lando will probably be just as bad if not worse than what they have done to Luke and Leia...never really cared about Han. If Lando is back in the Falcon with Chewie pulling off some outrageous flying stunts, WITHOUT the help or advice from Rey! If he teaches Finn how to fly, or leads an epic assault against the First order without getting killed...then maybe I'll give Disney my money...but I'm not holding my breath!

    I don't see a point in having Lando in IX. I've always considered him a minor character that I didn't really care much about (although I know some people do really like him). Including him in IX seems like nothing more than fan service. I can't think of any real reason they would need that character, although I am sure they will come up with something to shoehorn him in!

    Do people really not want to see Lando one last time? Not knocking Donglover, but the true-blooded Lando in a cape can not ever be a bad thing. People complained JJ didn't take the opportunity to put the Han, Luke, and Leia in a single scene in the first movie, and that can never happen again now. Well, what will you really say when this is said and done, and Billy Dee never made it back to the big screen?

    Just let it happen and enjoy it. Star Wars will move on from the originals so quickly you'll look back and always regret it if it didn't.
