SPECULATION Will Skywalker’s replace Jedi?

You mean you've seen the movie and know this for a fact? I mean you could be right. And if so great.

sorry, I read your original post as if you KNEW something. not two seperate posts. AND your title is "Predicted it" . I'm not opposed to the idea, I don' t know if I agree yet though. I don't think you can say that there is "no way" on anything.

I think that either
1) Luke didn't actually die
2) Luke will be "resurrected", he's learned to physically come back
3) Rey is in fact a Skywalker by blood
4) Rey is adopted by Leia and takes the name Skywalker
-OR-
5) Your theory that Skywalker is a name taken by either all "new Jedi" or the leader of the Jedi like Kylo Ren is a title for the leader of the KOR.

 

Maybe you are right.

And I like this idea. Skywalker became a legend at the en of The Last Jedi. Maybe now the adepts and followers of the jedi will start to call themselfs: skywalker.

Ex. Rey the Skywalker.

 

I wonder if this means Sith will now be called Sidiouses or Palpatines? lol

Edit: sorry, just got another thought... Snokes and Skywalkers lol... maybe a new game in the SW universe where if you land on a Snoke you slide down, while if you land on a Skywalker, you fly up closer to your goal... haha... Sabbacc, lookout, you have a challenger

Then maybe you should've put "maybe" in the title of the thread. There is nothing in the teaser to justify: "Predicted it! Skywalkers replace Jedi"

I think this theory is absolutely correct. It also explains the naming scheme of the final films in each trilogy, each beginning with "R."

I predit the ways of both the sith and jedi will go away and as some have said, the Skywalker(s) will be the new order and the method taught to new force sensitive beings. So even though Kylo is a Solo, and Rey is a nobody, they could both become "Skywalkers."

I love the thought of this. Both the ways of the Sith and Jedi were flawed for so many reasons, and what better way to start a new era than with to honor the family that brought this balance. Father and Son, Sith and Jedi, Light and Dark. "Skywalker"

 

This theory doesn’t feel right to me. The Jedi are definitely in need of reformation but this kind of idolatry has darkside potential written all over it.

That being said, if this were to happen, I will accept and embrace it. Star Wars isn’t made strictly for me or from my point of view.

I was just posting about this and then saw this thread, lul. I like the idea of Skywalker or Skywalkers replacing the name Jedi, but I am not for some type of mix of light and dark or a grey jedi becoming the Skywalkers. I would prefer Rey takes the last name of Skywalker in a move that will honor Luke and Leia and then decides herself and any future Jedi will now be known as Skywalkers so the name will live forever. That works for me.

 

It says rise of skywalker singular not plural. It is referring to a person. That person is Anakin. They said they went through all of George’s materials. That will show Anakin to be the chosen one. If sheev is back that means Anakin did not bring balance back to the force. Anakin will be resurrected and will complete his destiny as a Jedi. Though if it turns out that skywalker is just a new word for Jedi I will be disappointed but I can live with it.

 

Luke spent the entirety of TLJ explaining that no one owns The Force and rebranding the Jedi in his name is antithetical to not only his teachings but the Jedi way entirely. Think of lesson two. It’s a nice sentiment but it doesn’t make any sense.
