Your top 5 must-haves for TFA (and the ST in general)

Some of these "must haves" are very specific and particular! I worry that a lot of people here are going to be extremely disappointed in this movie.

 

I only have one:
Good Star Wars movie. I don't care how they do it. I don't even know if they CAN do it. But that's all I want. Good Star Wars movie.

Edit: Why the heck does everyone want an OT character to die?! You think the movie will suck unless Han/Luke/Leia dies? I don't want any of them to die! I guess I could handle Luke dying, because he can come back as a ghost...But I still want to see plenty of old man Luke in action. This goes for Han and Leia as well. I hope everyone lives!

LUKE SKYWALKER ACTUALLY IN THE MOVIE IN A PROMINENT PART.

Luke using his green lightsaber at least twice.

A really really good explanation for why Luke's lost lightsaber from Bespin is magically back.


I DON'T want to see too much imitating of previous films -- this film doesn't need to spiritually be or feel like A New Hope or any of the previous Star Wars films any more than Empire Strikes Back felt like A New Hope. I want the characters I know and love in a NEW story. I don't need to see a lightsaber with a message or "key" to find someone because that's what happened with R2D2 in the original film. This "echo" thing I don't want to see at all. Make some new stuff. Give us that, but not at the expense of the characters. It isn't one way or the other, and shouldn't be.

The rest I'm sure will be fine. JJ is a decent filmmaker, regardless of who he works with, usually.

 

1. Well written story that while fast pasted and a fun ride is allowed to breathe and engage you on deeper levels like the OT.

2. Main characters that you actually like and care about . Not get annoyed by.

3. Something that blows me away . Well actually im already quite blown away ,for example the Phasma armor , downed destroyer , practical BB-8 droid ...so check.

4. Funny witty dialogue . Han Solo has to have some great lines. C3PO also.

5. Wilhelm scream

Something i have picked up on from watching the trailers and stuff is that it seems to be a more sense of danger this time around. The chase thru the Jakku market place seems to be super intense and the villains give off proper dangerous vibes. Even the stormtroopers seems a bit more formidable.
Anyone else seeing this ?

 

LOL what if Han Solo died with a Wilhelm scream like some random extra , that would be the most stupid and anticlimactic thing ever in the history of Star Wars.
