As long as Han doesn't die from a broken heart at the sight of his son becoming a Sith lord, I'm ok with it.

Or Leia.

 

I will go even further with my speculation.
Maybe Harrison Ford never broke his ankle and it was a cover up for the fans. (smaller screen time as assumed) (his fast healing process)
I know what I'am talking about, I broke my ankle at the age of sixteen in sport class and needed two operations and a half year to recover.
I don't want to sound mean, but Harrison Ford is a old man, nobody recovers so fast after a broken ankle.
Maybe I had a really bad injury but I think something doesn't ad up in Ford's case.
I have this feeling that the accident was a excuse for them, because he dies in the middle of the movie and they don't want us to know to find it out in this early stage of post production.
Did he ever return to Pinewood for reshoots after the accident at the Falcon set?
Any sources out there who knows this?

 

This is purely my opinion, if Rey is Han's daughter (i agree with @Bluestreaking, we don't know yet) then i actually think this breakdown plays into Ren NOT being a solo.

By the looks of it our hero's all make it to the castle with Ren in waiting. Han hiding, means he got there first IMO, there is no way Han solo hides on the ship travelling with the others. If he senses a trap (MSW mentions the stormtroopers already there) for his daughter and being Han solo, he reveals himself to counter the trap. Han and Ren play out a Obi-wan/Vader scene which will harken back to ANH and in that moment we will see Rey the same way we saw luke.

 

In in my opinion Leia is the most expendable.

 

Well I like what I read and seems plausable. But it feels like people filling in gaps with their own speculations. I might be wrong.

As for Han's death. Han told Luke in ROTJ that he owed him and I think JJ and Kasdan took that and ran with it to make Han have the best emotinal death to give him a send off we'll never forget. If it goes down the way rumors suggest.

 

i dont think hating is an option...too much to explain why...it may be more simple like he doesnt know being his son, think its easier this way to get the crowd dramatized...or its something completly different and he gets killed "drive by" style...

good post and point...maybe it was all fake, why not, maybe jj really "goes about balance" to hide anything...did he return for reshoots?...

 

I think this scene happens on their way out, perhaps after rescuing Rey after she is captured by Kylo?

Also the question remains where Poe is with this description, at the falcon? Leading X-Wings?

 

It sounds epic...I could totally picture how the scene would play out. The feels...the feels.

 

Luke WILL call on the Dark Side when he encounters Kylo. I'm pretty sure it will come down to a scene of showing his full mastery of the Force and showing how Kylo will never be but a shadow of Vader.

 

Ugh, Han Solo is my favorite SW Character ever. I'd hate to lose him. I just remember playing with my friends quoting "hokey religions ... Without a blaster by your side" (can't remember the entire quote at this moment). I have the well played with small head solo figure from ANH, two well played with Bespin outfits and a Hoth Kenner figures, ( ON MY DRESSER). I have the falcon beer opener on the fridge and a sweet keychain of the falcon on my ride. I had Hans toy blaster with me all the time as a kid, with the battery pack cover lost and covered with electric tape. I was always Han Solo as a kid. He is the man to me. I'm devastated. I always wanted him to fly off in the sunset. Still hoping Jason is wrong.....l

 

Q: Does that mean that we'll see you in more than one Star Wars movie?

Ford: I'm sorry? [pretends he can't hear anything]

 

this is a scene i can see playing out amazingly. han standing up to the far more powerful kylo without fear, he will give a short obi wan like speech about how the dark side will never defeat the light, maybe he will remind himself of how long ago he didn't believe in hokey religions and ancient weapons. then after kylo kills him it will cut to the stunned faces of the others then to luke and then leia as they sense his death. then rey will let loose all of force powers and that is what causes kylo to run

 

Can see a bit of foreshadowing in the teaser now...

 

What's with all the MSW hate? I've been fanatically following just about all the prominent SW rumor sites since the Disney announcement, and Jason's reporting and analysis has been without a doubt the most reasonable and grounded (and I suspect reliable) of the bunch. Jason's a good guy, so I'm a bit taken aback at all the hatred some folks here seem to have for him.

 

It's because he comes on here and acts like a jerk to people who disagree with him.

 

As Voxx said, Jason has had some run ins with posters here in the past so he isn't that popular in these parts.

I do think he has probably the best connections, and as the figurehead for our community he gets a lot of stuff other people don't get. I respect the work he has done even if I can understand why people may not like him personally

 

Fair enough. I just wish we could keep clear of the user-bashing.

 

MSW broke the big-one.

I love the whole Idea about it. That Han is basically the figurehead that sets off the new trilogy.

I know fans are going to complain about it because it " it reveals too much"

But It's a ballsy move, by J.J. and I love it!

On top of that, The death of Han was rumored since before production began I think. So, really, this is conformation, of something that is going to come out before the movie anyway.
