It sounds like Max Von Sydow's character gets killed and the village gets destroyed before we even meet Rey, meaning I'm not sure how they're going to make Rey finding the destroyed village as emotional as Luke finding his aunt and uncle dead.

 

Get over it. Rey will get chopped up by Kylo and receive cybernetic limbs. It is her destiny. It will make her TOUGHER. Look at Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max. That is a tough woman. Rey will be a tough woman in the same vein and losing her limbs is a necessary part of her journey.

That is right. Finn won't face Kylo. Even if he tried, Kylo will toss him to the side like a rag doll and knock him out before even attempting one move. Rey will fight Kylo in Episodes 8 and 9.

 

The concept art and MSW's rumors suggest Finn does fight Kylo at first...

 

He will get his ass kicked so that Rey will come and save the day. She will face Kylo in the next two episodes. Rey will be the rising jedi warrior of this new ST.

 

I get that, but I think it's possible Maz will train Finn. I'd like to see two Jedi, not just one, in this ST.

Look at all that Rey concept art in the background of the BTS comic con video. I'm sure many of you have seen some of them before.

 

No their confrontation will happen in TFA.

 

The first one will be at TFA. Rey will face Kylo one on one in Episodes 8 and 9.

Anyway do we know how much the question of Rey's life on Jakku was addressed in the panel?

Also I am pretty sure that MvS will have some interactions with Daisy before being brutally murdered

 

I'd have to watch it again, but I don't believe we got any new info about Rey from the panel.

 

I like number one, but upon reflection its too much like ANH.

 

With the merchandise coming out on September 4 and DK's upcoming Visual Dictionary book, would that mean that Rey's full name will be revealed before the movie's release?

 

Doubt it.

 

I doubt it, too, but her identity will probably be leaked at some point before the premiere.
