    what I do not get is that vision in the rain ether Rey or the lightsaber had to be there for the vision to take place so what if this part of the vision had nothing to do with Rey but in Kylo trying to get hold of the lightsaber or has it been confirmed that Rey was present in that scene with the Knights of Ren

    These are my exact concerns. I can live with whoever they decide to be Rey's parents, as long as they have it all planned out. By no means I want them to throw in conflicting clues just so they can decide last minute.

    Interesting, any ideas why he would have interest in this random saber? If this isn't the temple massacre scene, which this timeline covers why it can't or shouldn't be, whose lightsaber is he slaughtering countless people for?

    I'm not sure if he actually wants the saber or if he's just picking it up.

    But it really doesn't look enough like Luke's to justify that.

    My one concern is the lightsaber. He would need to find another broken crystal to need to create the lightsaber like that. It's possible though.

    Just to remind you guys, George Lucas had not decided that Leia would be Luke's sister either before ESB. He made last minute changes until the very last. What I read somewhere, he actually wanted Luke's sister to be someone unknown. I recall he made a lot of changes to the original story line idea as the movies were developed.

    ...My point being: Still, they ended up being pretty good.

    I agree. Looking back, it's like JJ said about the worst for him was to see Leia being tortured by her own father. None of them knew at that point, not even the public or George Lucas, but looking back it's sort of hard.

    With the new canon material, they are doing a pretty good job with that kind of interactions. Just like the cliffhanger for the fifth comic of the "Vader Down" series:

    Obviously we do know the outcome of this (this happens between ANH and ESB) but it is interesting to see all the potential situations (gasp! she's going to kill her dad without knowing it's her real father!).

    As of Dec 23, 2015, Cailey Fleming, who played young Rey, was 8 years old, per this article:

    She would've filmed sometime in October or November 2014, based on the info in the above article and when filming occurred for TFA. So she was likely somewhere around 7 years old, depending on when her birthdate is. According to her pro-IMDb page, she "performs ages 5-8."

    Interesting. She looked so young and tiny in the movie.

    Pablo Hidalgo wouldn't confirm child Rey's age in the movie yet (it's on the timeline). Ridley brought up the age of 5 in multiple interviews.

    Well, Cailey is listed as playing anywhere from ages 5 to 8, so I guess it's really all up in the air still, despite what her actual age is. LOL

    If child Rey was ~8... that would make Ben ~19 at that time. Same age as adult Rey in VII, Luke & Leia in IV, and Anakin in II. It's one of those magic Star Wars numbers now.
