An Idiotic Thread for Arguing the Subtleties of the "Skywalker" and Solo Surnames vs. Families

I just want to hear the word "midi-chlorians" in a film again.

And I want to know what on earth are minichlorians and maxichlorians, because if they don't exist, why use prefix "midi-" in the first place.

To come back to the actual topic of this thred, Skywalker saga can be renamed and called "Skywalker-Solo saga" and there would be one less problem in the world.

 

I will completely lose it if I have to defend Ben being a Skywalker one more time...

That being said, a name is name, but blood counts if we are looking at this as the Skywalker Saga. Rey can adopt the name, but Ben is still a Skywalker even if his surname is Solo.

No - you do not call a story after the surname of the main characters and then continue it without that sur name. I wouldn't have thought this was rocket science.

its so funny when people make posts about something, something they know someone(s) will disagree with, then get upset when someone replies to them.

its really easy to get someone to leave you alone on a public message board - don't reply to someones posts in general or about a topic you don't want to talk about. Don't make your own posts about a topic you know said person is interested in and will respond too Or if you feel you must make such a post, just ignore the person you don't want to speak too.

and you don't have to defend Ben being part of the family - literally no one is disputing that. The issue is you seem to think he is a Skywalker even though his sur name is Solo (you have confused "related to" and "being"). My last name is X and my cousins is Y. X and Y are part of the same family, my cousin and I are related to each other. However I am "a X" and my is "a Y". You do not, can not say I am "a Y" . Ben is a Solo, and when the creative types name something "The SKYWALKER saga" they are going to keep a Skywalker (at least one) at the center of it.

 

I ended this conversation with you in the other thread and I will not be baited into a repeat. That is my final words to you on this topic.

 

in @Canadian Ronin 's defense, Shmi, the single slave mama, was named Skywalker and had a baby with the surname Skywalker.
