Battlefront II, The Last Jedi and Rey's parents (WARNING! SPOILERS)

I am actually being totally serious. Lucasfilm is totally trolling its fans... because there are these kinds of hints and suggestions going in every different direction! This is probably a result of having TFA spoiled, as it is a direct way to contradict and/or mis-direct people from the ultimate plot of the ST going forward. Not only that, but it also allows the story group to have any and all possible stories remain on the table for as long as possible... to ultimately DRIVE THE HYPE MACHINE!!!

Some people may not like being trolled, but that is what is happening.

 

I wasn't thinking about that at first but why did they put these lines in Del's mouth ? I'm not giving you anything ... Get out of my head ...

And people never considered genetics about Rey and Luke who has blue eyes and Rey brown eyes, it didn't bother people much at that time and they almost casted Jessica Henwick for Rey.

Are we certain Del is dead? I know it look likely and Hask said to bury him...but we didn't see him die, did we?
Anyway, people talk about the other stories being made used to foreshadow or test the waters with the saga films. If we look at Ezra for example, his is a tragic story about his parents and one that could be adapted to suit Rey's.

As for this BF II storyline, I just find the similarities remarkable and the fact the this story is the very one that @Bandini, @FN-3263827, myself and others suggested 2 years back.

 

Uh...in the case of Rey Skywalker/Solo and eye colour: blue is a recessive eye colour (Luke, Han) whereas brown is a dominant eye colour (Luke’s potential partner, Leia).

So yes, Rey could absolutely still logically have brown eyes despite her father having blue eyes.

That text is found amidst dialogue concerning the chapter which will be released next month, so I’m fairly confident that this line is being spoken by Iden: from what she gathered, she thought that Gleb killed Del.

If I recall correctly, she believes Hask to be dead by this point, so there would be no reason for her to assume that he had some hand in this.

 

We know that

Iden wouldn't have that knowledge unless she's told.

 

Don't worry, you're not. I don't care for Rey's parents enough to even be susceptible to such silly ideas. Not everything revolves around Rey's parents.

 

I don't care much too and to be very honest I am very happy that the movie is almost there for we will FINALLY speaking of something else.

The far vast majority of the movie audience doesn't delve beyond the films.

Daisy Ridley claims that she doesn't know anything about the canon beyond the movies.

Daisy Ridley claimed she learned Rey's parentage 3 three years ago. These Battlefront characters didn't exist then AFAIK.

Dataminers have claimed to have found her daughter in the code and that she's named

P.S. Iden Versio is space Indian - based on Indian actress Janina Gavankar.

 

When the BF story was conceived is irrelevant to this theory. Rey's parents could've always been Imperials and that is what DR knew - then this story has since fleshed it out.

Versio's ethnicity isn't a deal breaker by any means.

 

I...don’t see how you figure that.

Lucasfilm is pretty good great when it comes to continuity, especially when it comes to familial similarities in skin colour, eye colour, general facial structure, etc.

Let’s put it this way: nothing about Rey’s appearance suggests that she’s the daughter of Iden.

And, as has already been said: we know Iden’s daughter is named Zay and isn’t on Jakku in the months/years leading up to the events of TFA, as Rey has been.

 

Weren't some people arguing for Finn Skywalker at one point?! Like I said, when I saw the BF story I didn't think Versio couldn't possibly be Rey's mum. The thought didn't cross my mind at all.

Until Zay is confirmed I'm reserving judgement.
