    I know for certain he will show up in the movie given the shot of the back of his head back in the trailers if that is indeed him. I have Catalyst sitting in my stack of "To Be Read" books right now as I finish Lost Stars. It jumped from 6th up to 1st to be read next.

    I doubt they'd have officers kneel in front of them if they wont kneel in front of someone as intimidating as vader .

    I'm pretty sure the creature featurette just released on the Star Wars Youtube site might provide some insight into this scene. Don't view it if you wish to avoid spoilers. If you wish to be spoiled, pay attention to the concept art hanging on the walls at the 21 second mark.

    That is definitely him.

    They revised the ending with the reshoots, but they didn't cut Darth Vader out of the movie. If you thought that that Reddit leak about how Rogue One was being sanitized to appeal to a younger audience was true, then I can assure you - it's fake. And the press screening proves it, as it's clear that the film is still indeed dark.

    Also, here's a little factoid from what appears to be a reliable account about the movie credits: Darth Vader has a credited stunt double. Make of that what you will. ;) (Technically, this recent find is not really a spoiler considering that Darth Vader has long since been confirmed to be in the movie - it is, however, surprising.)

    I actually talked about how I think Vader will be seen in action here.
    What we learned today goes hand in hand with the costume change.
    That being said, it's possible they cut the bacta tank scene from the movie when they decided to do reshoots.
    Why would they spoil the scene in a creature featurette, after having hinted at it only once in the first teaser? It just doesn't seem like a mistake Lucasfilm would make

    If you take a closer look at the concept art at the far right, you can see that some kind of hose is connected to the mask he's wearing.

    I am wondering if they didn't get Hayden in to make up just to be there and have his voice dubbed over with JEJ(his voice effect could make sense since he has the oxygen mask on). I still think he looks like Hayden, but not much longer after ROTS, so perhaps the bacta scene come from around the time Galen is apprehended. Whatever the case, this is one of the more interesting things in the film for me. Hopefully it didn't get cut.

    Technically, Darth Vader is at a point where he doesn't physically resemble Hayden the Christmas-song aside from the scars - aging, life support, and long exposure to the Dark Side will do that to you. So to me, it makes sense that he wouldn't be needed for a shot where we see Darth Vader without the helmet.

    Now, if they need to bring Anakin's Force Spirit into a future movie (because they should and probably will) and they don't use Hayden Christensen or Matt Lanter, then I'll get mad.

    True, but I can definitely see Hayden's aged likeness in that sculpt they have in the video. Maybe all they did was use an old head mold of his to base it off.

    It doesn't necessarily mean that Hayden is not in the film. They probably just used the sculpt to help the actor in the cloak visualize him.

    On another note, I think that Spencer Wilding (Darth Vader's actor)...

    I agree with John Campea from Collider Movie talk. Just because we don't see that clip in the new trailers doesn't mean the scene was cut.
