    Good book, yet I wanted more on Ben and Luke. I'm surprised that the politics didn't get boring, or more so, that people didn't complain about it. Looking forward to reading more books by Gray.

    That was my concern before reading the book, but actually Gray did a great job portraying the political status in the New Republic with such a skill it didn't feel boring at all.

    I hope so too! I might start a petition to Lucasfilm to add a cameo of him on Episode IX and cast Tom Hiddleston - yeah, I know, wishful thinking!

    Finally got to finish it and wasn't disappointed. I am curious if anyone knows, how much freedom does a writer have to write a Star Wars book? Are they limited to known characters, or characters that are preapproved by Disney, Lucasfilm, etc? Same for places, ships,etc.

    From what I got from Claudia Gray interviews, it seems as the Story Group provides them with the main elements, but I'm not so sure what about the secondary details. From what I read, it seems Rian Johnson provided certain elements to Gray for Bloodline. But I'm not so sure about all the rest (like the new planets, Bastatha, Galatenta, Parmarthé, etc...)

    Wow, very cool! Were you able to say anything to her besides "thank you"? :)

    I'm in the process of rereading Bloodline--much more slowly this time--and enjoying it thoroughly. I want to see if I get any different impressions or read between the lines differently about Leia/Han/Luke/Ben differently than I did the first time around.

    By the time I got to her there was a line behind me and I didn't have long. One of my daughters found her outside a question forum and was able to talk to her a little. Gray said she found it funny that 40 something year old men were more interested in the characters than her other YA books
