The one on my screening did it in a cowardly way - while walking out of the room so that nobody could see him (there was a group of teenagers who kept going in and out)... That screening was a disaster.

That's awful, you spend a bucket load of money and you wait so long for the film for someone to do that... disaster of course, yet spoilers don't bother me but I'd be pissed.

I thought logging onto Twitter and seeing Kylo Ren repeatedly stabbing Han in a gif was bad (I hadn't see the movie yet). That's terrible!

Ouch. That's bad as well. I hope you'll stay off Twitter this time. ;) It's a really good thing to go dark a few days before you see it. Especially if you're not seeing it opening night.

    That's terrible!

My own experience with this is that I'd been talking to a friend for months about Han's potential death prior to the film's release, and he didn't at all believe me, but shortly before the film was released (the beginning of the week of, in fact) I said it was certainly possible that, by the way Harrison was talking about the role, he might not.

Anywho, forward to the Wednesday, the night before I go to see the film with my little brother: I'm not sure if it was out of spite of me seeing the film before him - I booked our group's tickets for the Saturday, which they were all fine with - or something else, but my friend turned around to me on the train home and declared that he knew a spoiler for TFA; not wanting to know myself, I asked him to stop there, but he went on to reveal that Han died (I assume he found out via Reddit or the like).

Still my close friend, but deep down it ruined most of what the moment in the film was going for, for me: I was questioning whether or not Han was going to actually die or not as opposed to seeing things pan out for myself.

Strange how people act when it comes to stuff like this these days: I remember reading about how officers at a cinema in the US let audience members have their physical way with a member of the audience who ruined Han's death whilst waiting in line to go in. It's not at all right, and I disagree with how it was handled, but why ruin something like that?

    Anyway, I'm completely off-topic now :p

Be interesting to see whether or not the first Han Solo teaser/trailer finds itself attached to this film, that's for sure.

Some people can't handle secret/spoilers. Everyone at work was talking about TFA and thats when i learn that someone had gotten his behind tossed for relieving it. For some reason, I think Harrison Ford wanted that (since ROTJ) and maybe thats the main reason he agreed to come back.

Yes. Harrison Ford wanted Han to remain in carbon freeze in ESB. After he was talked into returning for ROTJ, he probably thought he was done with SW. His death was not unexpected, but who did it and how it happened, at least for me, was surprising when I saw it.

    Thanks, man. :p

But well, enough of the spoiler support group, I think we derailed this thread a little bit... :D

My prediction is between 1.6 - 1.8 Billion Worldwide.

I won't see this one as much as TFA due to very different circumstances this time (I can no longer drive for medical reasons) rather then not wanting to but I plan to see it at least twice.
For the record I ended up watching TFA 6 times in the cinema & once on a flight & yes I did go way overboard but it was just to much fun watching in different cinemas.

I had allot of fun with TFA my goal was to see it in every format possible: IMAX, 4D moving chairs/ weather/ wind effects, 3d, and standard 2d. I'll see TLJ at least 2x even if its bad just to make sure...haha

    As @Rogues1138 says
It's a 3D screen but your seat moves & shakes ( The MF Quad guns have a real kick to them) plus wind Light & water effects.
I kind of New what to expect because of the Shrek 4D ride at Universal in Florida but was still surprised to see it in a theatre

I think I did something similar at Playdium with my boyfriend at the time a long time ago, but no 3D screen or glasses.

this was the fun of it for me ~ i saw it all over the place in all the different theatres (3D only once ~ didn't like it), and often with really fun and interesting people since it was usually the first showing of the day. so lots of families with home-schooled kids, slackers, and retirees.
and they were all chatty and excited as many of them were seeing it for the first time and not repeat offenders like me.

While the numbers don't lie that the 2nd chapter of a SW Trilogy always grosses the least of the 3 movies, will the Luke Skywalker effect change that with TLJ? Luke is going to bring casual OT fans to the theater, so could Episode 9 be the least grossing of this Trilogy because you won't have that selling point to casual OT fans?
