I have a feeling , now I dont know why, that Snoke has no intention of becoming new Emperor or something like that. I have some strange feeling he wants destruction ef entire galactic society as it was (Empire and Republic).

Palpatine wanted to rule the galactic society on his own terms, and of course approved destruction locally if this will strenghten his rule.

For me destruction for Sith is a way to achieve power, to get dominance and became rulers.

Snoke, I and I could be wrog, but in Snoke I see destruction, he wants destruction of the galactic society.

Recently my thoughts are flying to strange possibility Snoke is Alien who Controls more than one Orders. Human remnants of empire would be his puppet First Order, and there is Second Order, some other aliens waiting right time to strike. He is supreme leader, means leader of more than one organisation.

In this way this will be an invasion on the Galaxy in which puppeted First Order is just First wave.

I don't want to discuss Plagueis at length in this thread, but he was the Sith Lord who wanted to destroy entire star systems. He even discussed this plan with Sidious.

    • "we will provide them with a sense of stability and order" = First Order?
    • "weapons capable of decimating entire star systems" = Starkiller Base?

To talk Plagueis is unbarable. He was best.
Now we must move on.We shrinked possibilities to only 2 by our inquiry.

1.Blodthirsty golum-ized Imperial Admiral taking command of Empire remnants-plausible taking command ,plausible knowledge of events in past, problematic non human appearance.Solution-damaged by major injury+deformed by Dark side.

2.Bloodthirsty damaged Alien taking command of F.O.Plausible considering appearance, problematic taking command, and problematic his knowing intimately of everything what happened.Solution by Disney.

My current thinking is that Brandol Hux can not became Snoke.

Hux was military professional, radical officer, he is definitely the one who is behind the training program from the birth, its his brainchild. However there is no way any imaginable path would led him to became Dark Force user on the level Snoke is.

So Snoke must be someone else.

In the novel Bloodline we see shadow of the Snoke who conducts subterfuge actions. Now we know there was "Napkin bombing" incident .Yes we have canonized a bombing attempt on the Senate of the New Republic and atempt to kill Lea. Snoke was acting on many ways , also usig his conections within the New Repubic. He can not be some alien from abroad, he has conections within borders of the Former Empire.

I'm sorry I have to get somewhat off topic, but I have to address this.
It isn't anything new. We've known since 2005 that Plagueis is dead (and that's what he meant by "If people discounted Ep3 for their theories"). And he has said it plainly. You can't get more plain than, "He is dead." And he pointed out that what was said about his power is to prevent people from dying. Not himself, nor anything about spirit transfer (remember, that's purely Legends at the moment).
The Plagueis is Snoke theory has gotten way out of hand. Hell, one of the reasons that Pablo has been acting the way he does is the fact that he keeps getting pelted with questions about things yet to be revealed in the sequel trilogy, especially "Is Snoke Plagueis?" And no matter how many times he says that Plagueis is dead (really, really dead), the theorists won't listen.
Honestly, many of the fan theorists have become conspiracy theorists. No matter how much evidence is presented against it, they discount the evidence and cling to whatever flimsy "evidence" they have. Then, when anyone says anything counter to their theory, they spit venom. It's just a theory about what's going to happen in a kriffing movie!
And this isn't just "Snoke is Plagueis" but also "Rey is a Skywalker". Just because that's what they feel the story must be. I mean, people are still basing predictions on a rumored title for Episode VII (The Ancient Fear) despite the fact it was never going to be called that (working title was Shadow of the Empire)!
Instead of clinging to a theory, look at it from both sides. Really think about it. When I theorized that Ezra might become Snoke, I did just that. And I found holes. And you know what I did? I posted the theory and the holes and let people look at it. Do I think that's going to be the reveal? No (especially after I noticed said holes), but it's fun to speculate. Fan theories, especially predictive ones, are meant to be a fun way to pass the time until the next installment comes out. The way this fandom is doing it is destructive. This isn't fun.

A lot of the time, it isn't. That's something I dearly wish was different in this fandom. I hope you can also look at your post, and see how you're contributing to it? Things would move a long way towards a better environment if we used friendlier language, and didn't put down others. That goes for everyone.

We need true inquiry .. Plagueis theory is finished. We must move on. Only minority theorize about alternatives to Plagueis, everyone else is just lamenting over Plagueis demise.

Which is too bad. I did put out an idea, but people essentially said yes, that could work, and we didn't get any farther.

Obsession with Plagueis was interesting phenomenon for itself though. Actually this is material for some sociology study one day.

As I have said before, if Snoke is not Plagueis then Plagueis can live to come back another day. Maybe not in this Trilogy but perhaps the next, or in the animated series or even a Star Wars story. Plagueis is obvious GOLD MINE for Disney to use at some point.

Plagueis will return someday even if not now and they use Pablo's copy cat character.

Doesn't mean that there couldn't be an Anthology film that takes place before his death, similar to the Legends novel.

I second the agreement. While I found nothing wrong if Plaguies was in the ST, I never understood the idea of an absolute necessity for him either that is felt by some. Nor the very loose threads of evidence being read into making Snoke him. Having him in it isn't going to make it a great movie, nor is going to automatically make it a bad movie for me if he is not. The movies themselves will determine that for me and I will not know before I can see them.

Well, yeah, but I don't think they would do that as they're all about "moving forward" .

Um...both Rogue One and the Young Han Solo Chronicles take place before A New Hope. How's that moving forward?

Because R1 ties directly to ANH and so does Han Solo...I meant "moving forward" away from The PT which Plageuis has the biggest shadow over.

While they are currently mostly avoiding the prequel era (they are doing the Anakin and Obi-Wan comic), it doesn't mean that one day they won't look at it. Once the bad taste of the prequels has been washed out (and Disney has completely recouped the money spent on Lucasfilm), there's nothing stopping them. Hell, references to the prequel era are made often on Rebels.
And it also makes sense that the live action stuff is currently OT era. Due to the fact that the sequel trilogy is taking design cues from the original trilogy (which makes sense consider that the OT is only 30 years removed whereas the PT is 50-60), it saves them money to reuse stuff from the sequel trilogy films with minimal redressing (similar to how sets made for the aborted Star Trek: Phase II were repurposed for the films, TNG, DS9, and Voyager). For example, we know that the troop transport prop from The Force Awakens is being used for Rogue One. The DL-44 props will also likely be used in the Han Solo film, the Chewie costume definitely will, and there is a decent chance we might get to see the Falcon in that film as well (which makes the full size mockup from Episode VIII and investment for later films).
Also, we did come from about a 15 year time frame where the prequel era dominated Star Wars from the release of The Phantom Menace to the final episodes of The Clone Wars. There is need for a break. But going back isn't impossible.

This is how I feel, more or less.

There is however problem in recycling Sith story for some retrospective anthology film, since by the decision of Disney Sith became a Dead brach, Dead end. A film involving Underground adventures of Plagueis and Palpatine have potential to be one of the greatest and darkest SF movies ever, dwelling deep into the true nature of the Force, however its potential is decreased by the notion this all effort is lost as the Sith are dinosaurs destined to extinct.

Of course, a nice thing will be, and here another sparkle came to me, if indeed Snoke was Palpatine's or Plagueis Apprentice who abandoned ways of the Sith.

I would make an apic movie, involving Plagueis, Palpatine, Maul, and fourth character, who starts humbly, as apprentice or adept, and at the end one becomes Snoke, while brach of the Sith extincts.

To start off, I do not think that Snoke is Plagueis. I do believe Plagueis will be saved as a big reveal character in possibly the X, XI, and XII installments. He's a just a pot o' canon-gold at de end a de rainbow.
Snoke is the brainchild of JJ, Lawrence, and Kathleen. This is the fresh start to get things going again, for new fans as well. As Star Wars fans we must expand, differentiate, grow, and change with what is happening. SNOKE COULD BE SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS IN THIS GIGANTIC STAR WARS UNIVERSE (universe, not galaxy) AND WE LIMIT OURSELVES TO ONE CHARACTER WHOM WAS MENTIONED ONCE IN THE ENTIRE SAGA (he's maybe mentioned a few other times in canon material, but nothing big). His book is no longer even canon. It is, what it is. Stop obsessing over this dude, there's so much more to look forward to. He could be so many different and crazy things, have fun with that and be creative. To quote the opening dialogue in The Force Awakens, " Lor San Tekka: This will begin to make things right."

    upload_2016-5-11_15-5-35.png

I did a little researching and found some very interesting parallels between a few legends characters and our mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke. Below I will attach the links to these characters Wookieepedia page. I definitely think he is a combination of several characters seen throughout legends, along with the original funk of whatever the trio brings to the team. The last part will be putting the canon puzzle pieces together to figure out who Snoke truly is.
