SPOILER Concept Art Revealed

The artist probably modeled the art for the woman off of Billie Lourd (what the actual daughter of Carrie Fisher looks like) or it's a heck of a coincidence.

 

The plan of the Falcon 'Carousel' features two ships ... almost the same but not quite. Aside from their size differences, the smaller freighter has different mandible tips - more edges and two little prongs. However, squinting at the text, it's the larger freighter that features the term 'Carousel', and I can't read the text for the smaller ship.

could that blue saber be lukes/anakins ?

 

I know this has probably been answered 100 times but I want to ask here. Where did the rumour come from that the lightsaber Daisy’s character finds is Anakin and Luke’s original blue one? And that it was found in the desert?

I can see from the concept art that it is clearly meant to be that lightsaber and echoes the scene in ANH between Luke and Obi Wan.

The main villain in the art is called grave robber, Luke’s lost lightsaber is found, Vader’s helmet resurfaces for an unknown reason, old locations are being revisited. Seems to me like the grave robber and heroes are racing against each other to find Luke by delving into his past.

 

I havent seen anyone mention it....so I will. Did anyone else notice the crashed star destroyer in the backround of one of the concept pieces? Perhaps the one piloted by Han and Chewie?

 

The Star Destroyer in the background of one of the paintings is an Interdictor-class, originating in the West End Games' Imperial Sourcebook.

 

Oh its pulling the X Wing right behind that appears to be the body of an At At and then at the very back we see a star destroyer....

 

Man these are well done!

 

Viral mentioned the Grave Robber character's mouth looked feminine... what if it's Leia?! That's why Ridley is in hiding and Luke is in exile!

Amazing pictures. I think it's quite telling that there are no concept pictures of Luke. At least not as we know him

 

Boyega's character doesn't look startled or confused. He looks like he's familiar with the saber and how it's used. Now how would a defected stormtrooper come to know about lightsabers? Interesting...

Personally, I'm part pissed that so much stuff was leaked when JJ is supposed to be a master of concealment. But the other part of me thinks this is the coolest concept art I've ever seen and NOT just because it's Star Wars -- lots of great looking ideas, each and every one, coming our way! Very exciting!

Side note -- Does Disney enforce the NDA and sue the leakers? I sure as Hell would.

 

For the amount of art we're getting here, now I believe this is true JUST AWESOME.

I've seen there's an alien character who appears in two conceptes (the one of Daisy getting into a bar and the one of a character igniting the lightsaber). I think this is going to be whether Andy Serkis or Pip Andersen's CG character.

 

Well I got them all saved on my computer last night which means the Disney S.W.A.T team is on their way to neutralize me and confiscate the illegal property. The one with Daisy and the cyborg in the snow gets me so excited its has the definitive Star Wars feel to it and its currently the background on my computer. Does anyone else think that in the same piece the guy slumped down behind the cyborg look like Driver?

EDIT: Lets all give Jason Ward a big hand for his drawing skills. He was spot with that Daisy Ridley costume art.
