Darth Plagueis In The Sequel Trilogy.

I thought Pablo finally said it recently that simply Snoke is a brand new character and nothing to do with Plageuis and ended it right there.

 

I don't believe anything he says.

So, I'm waiting for the officially licensed T-shirt, as described up above.

Just because he initially started writing this trilogy with no Plageuis in mind it Doesn't mean that he included The Supreme Leader Snoke.

 

Given the fact that George apparently never intended to include Plagueis in the ST, it would seem that actually including Darth Plagueis would have been more akin to fan fiction my friend. I'm sure it sucks to have your idea that you've clung to for so long officially stamped out, but a big part of the Plagueis argument that I continually saw claimed that George had more plans for Darth Plagueis, which apparently he didn't. Plagueis still serves an important role in the Star Wars mythos, just not an ongoing one, similar to Darth Bane.

 

So today's forecast is cloudy with a chance of dead Plagueis?

 

Tweeting Pablo hoping for a Plagueis reveal is a lost cause. The harder you question him, the harder he will deny it. Nothing good will come of it. Even if Snoke was Plagueis, he will not admit it under any circumstances.

I think the best course of action is to remain patient and let the story unfold naturally at the pace the storytellers want to tell, rather than to desperately seek answers from a guy on twitter who has no obligation to reveal the future story, whether indeed he knows the future story or not.

 

Why? I've been selling the unofficial versions; that I made for this thread 278 pages ago, out of the trunk of my old Bimmer.

Lucas doesn't even know who Snoke is....

As Pablo himself has said, he could flat out deny it and it still wouldn't end for some.

I don't think it would be called "abandoned" if he never intended for him to be there in the first place. I think some have assumed Lucas had more feelings and intentions for this character based on their personal opinion of Plaguies. Which I feel is only natural for a character someone may have really liked and wanted to him to grace the big screen. I think in reality though, "The story of Darth Plaguies, the wise" was just simply intended to be the catalyst of temptation for Anakin. Plain an simple.

What I've always said is that Abrams and Kasdan cared the least about the prequels, so the only hope for Plagueis - a prequel character - would not be from them - it would've been from the Lucasfilm Story Group. Which is why he is mentioned a bit in Tarkin, one of the first canon books in 2014. But if they don't care about Plagueis, then it wasn't going to happen. Hidalgo frequently brings up that Lucasfilm cares about Lucas's opinions which is why he said that the Han Solo movie is being made - the idea originated with George Lucas.

Your best hope is that what the fans liked about the Plagueis character - fact and fan-fiction - somehow finds its way being grafted onto this Snoke character.

Haha glad to see this thread still alive and kicking. As long as the debate continues, I'll always hold onto a little bit of hope that this theory is correct

 

I'm admitting defeat. Snoke should be Plagueis, but he's not. I don't know who or what he is. Nor do I care. Although I'm going to speculate...

Snoke is Plagueis' father.

 

I think Star Wars is now

He can be his buddy as far as I'm concerned. This trilogy is turning into a debacle.
