Darth Plagueis In The Sequel Trilogy.

Plagueis Is inside Palpatine who is inside Rey or one or both Sabers Rey buried.

Essence transfer is the Sith Force Ghost. All the Sith are there in the Master making them extraordinarily powerful in the Living Force. Jedi on other hand escape to the Comsic Force are singular but their ability to Int are at with the living is extremely limited but eternal and timeless.

Someone will stumble on the Sabers and they will transfer to a new host, They prefer however to transfer to a host that can best the Master Sith in order to grow their cumulative strength. Palpatine had weakened all Jedi and used what Yoda call shroud of the dark side to blind Jedi to s9me extent.

Anakin was supposed to be the next in line but got damaged and became less than optimal, The Sith were then interested in Luke and eventually Kylo but Kylo was found lacking and Rey was promising. For Palpatine to have essence transfer to Rey, she would have had to reach into the Darkside to kill Palpatine. It is questionable if that occurred so they are likely in the Sabers or other object there at the time Palpatines body dissolved.

Reasonable someone found the object the Sith transferred into on the Deathstar and eventually made their way to a Palpatine Cl9ne which was also sub optimal.

the Sith still exist and maybe the only way to end them is if one of the Masters were to return to the light side, pull them in to the cosmic force and die permanently, meaning the Sith Master who returned to the light would have to die permanently to extinguish the Sith essences inside him with the cosmic Force. A trap more or less.

Much better than the mess they have now. And big bad guy don’t have to be a giant dopey clone like Snoke,
