Sorry guys, but honestly, this thread was genuinely intended to be a discussion on the types of effects used in the OT and debunking certain myths on this topic. It's just unfortunate that it got derailed. But you guys are right, we need to get back on topic.

I agree that the thread needs to get back on topic. This time, try saving your anti-"basher" rants for private messages and perhaps things won't derail again.

    Thanks, man.

LOL George is so LAZY! He only produced the Prequels, Indy4, 5 seasons of The Clone Wars, prepped 50 screenplays for a live action SW series, made Red Tails (plus a feature length documentary to go with it) and Strange Magic, chairs his own educational foundation, was building new facilities up until he left Lucasfilm, put together a 1,000 page book on the history of blockbuster movies, produced 100 short documentaries for the Young Indy DVD sets, planned a museum, got married & had a kid (through great difficulty), outlined episodes 7-9, got Harrison, Mark and Carrie to sign on, and shepherded the first draft script etc. What a lazy person! You don't like the movie ergo, Lucas is lazy!

Great link. There are some really good photos on that site.

I knew that there were quite a few miniatures/models used in the PT, but I didn't realize just how many until I picked up the Lorne Peterson book Sculpting a Galaxy: Inside The Star Wars Model Shop-

    1024197.jpg

It has a comprehensive list and detailed photos of the majority of the models from all six films, with extensive material on the PT in particular. I often use it as a reference in my model building. If you have a chance to pick up a copy, or just thumb through one at the book store, I highly recommend it.

He's fantastic at coming up with ideas, but became lazy at executing them.
