Luke will never turn to the darkside, he will of course be tempted again and again but will never turn.. I think Luke will be more upset with himself for leaving the influence of the Jedi to almost disappear and for allowing Sith like this individual to reappear and desecrate his fathers grave; while also placing his father back in the role of Prince of Darkness where he had saved him from. If JJ Abrams did do this with Luke's character then he has as much knowledge of SW message as I do of Star Trek.. 0

What if Fett had finally located Luke, taken sample to Kamino and had him Cloned for someone in what's left of empire? Then Serkis could be clone ..

 

Some will say the Kamino cloning facilities were destroyed, but would that stop Palpatine. I honestly think it's Anakin's clone.

 

Aah... does anyone recall years ago, Lucas bought some tech that would allow for digital immortality. Think Bogart in those Coke ads, or hologram Tupac. At the time, it was believed he would use the tech to somehow continue the adventures of the OT cast at their prime OT age years down the line.

Did that investment turn into a test run in episode 7 via Luke's face on Sirkis' mo capped body? Seems to fit the need for Luke's hand/lightsaber. Also explains the youthful grave robber. Come at me bros!

 

I heard once that Lucas was buying up 'likenesses' for such people as Alec Guiness for CGI purposes. But I could not find any evidence of this on the internet.

 

I do remember there was talk of him adding toshiro mifune r.i.p. To the prequels as a Jedi

 

Yep. I'm not crazy then! Same thing I read years ago. Lucas wanted to buy likenesses starting from Hollywood's golden era, Bogart, etc. But the implications were clear for the stars of his own films.

 

I would be stunned to see an Alec Guiness as Obi-Wan Force Ghost in Episode VII. Do you remember this pic. Check the upper righthand corner.

 

I like your idea quite a bit and I feel the same. My prediction is, if they indeed keep the cyborg/fake cyborg mask character, it's Gwen Christie playing her. The mouth is 100% a woman's in the new one imho. And there is an obvious longing there, that would only come from one seeking family or one seeking knowledge and power. My bet is on Gwen/a Sith. You don't cast a 6 foot 4 woman and make her a good "guy" so to speak, especially one as tough as Gwen. Add in the rumor of her having saber training, and I think we are going to see the first terrifying, extremely powerful female Sith with a male master, I am predicting Sydow or Serkis.

To add, I think one of the villains needs to die at the end of Ep7, paving the way for the larger threat resolved in 9. I am guessing Driver is that roll over character.

 

I always thought of 'The Other' as Leia, if Luke would have died, Leia was their last hope.
