    Yes. Though I can understand JJ's fear of branching off to far from the successful sw formula especially after what Lucas has had to suffer for the last 10 years. It's better that he have a little overkill in nazi imagery, than face the irreversible criticism of ruining his big chance to set star wars back on it's proper path. His career depended on him getting this movie right and if the formula ain't broke.................................

    I thought that when Hux was watching the Starkiller destruction and they showed the unholy fire reflected in his eyes, it was pretty horrifying. I did feel like that scene was so on the nose that it took me out of the movie for a moment thinking, "Nazis," but then again, I don't think it hurts to be reminded of how terrible that regime was.

    The number of people killed under communist regimes in past century is greater than anything else in history.
    Between Stalin and Mao, there's about 50 Million russian and chinese civilian casualties.

    And Japanese POW camps were worse than German POW camps (not to be mistaken with German "labour" camps for Jews).
