SPECULATION Episode VIII Theories In One Sentence!

My crazy theory is a third of the way into the film we see the the sentence "15 years earlier..." (ok its an incomplete sentence )

• And thats how we get to see the big three together again
  
• that's how Harrison Ford fits into this film with hair dyed brown.
  
• that's why Mark Hamill looks even younger and fitter lately than he did for Episode VII
• that's why Carrie Fisher was asked to drop an additional 30 pounds (EDIT: this was rumored about Ep. VII, my mistake)
• that's why MVS will be back as Lor San Tekka
  
• and maybe, just maybe Benedicio Del Toro plays a younger undamaged Snoke influencing Ben Solo
• and that's how we find out what happened to Luke, his academy and Rey, etc..

 

...couldn't Andy Serkis just play Snoke without prosthetics...?...

 

Well yeah, but then young Snoke would look too much like Gollum...

Snoke already sounds a lot like Ceasat .

 

Already posted this elsewhere, but I'll post again:

- The underlying theme of the film will be "the low levels people are willing to sink to to achieve their own ends."
- Benicio del Toro will be the leader of the remnants of the Republic.
- The Republic will become a sinister force in the galaxy, with its own super weapon. (This is probably why the writers created the Resistance as separate from the Republic. The Resistance will find itself fighting hopelessly against two powerful sides.)
- Rey will have a romantic draw to Kylo Ren.
- Finn and Poe will be on mission together.
- Captain Phasma will probably pursue and capture Finn
- Leia may purposely put herself in grave danger in order to appeal to her son's light side. This will fail.
- The Republic will somehow capture Kylo Ren. Perhaps by turning the Knights of Ren against him.
- Rey will abort training to save her friend, but unlike Yoda and Obi Wan in ESB, Luke will support this and join her. We will be made to believe they are going after Finn when it is revealed they are going to Kylo Ren.
- Del Toro, the Knights of Ren, Luke and Rey, and a Captured Kylo Ren will end up in the same place at the film's climax. Luke and Rey's goal will be to disable the Republic's super weapon, fight and defeat the Knights of Ren, and free Kylo Ren, hoping to see his redemption.
- Luke and Rey will succeed in defeating the Knights and freeing Kylo Ren. Kylo Ren will ruthlessly kill Benicio del Toro's character.
- Kylo Ren will reveal information to Rey that leads her to seriously doubt Luke.
- The movie will end with all three separating. Rey to find Finn, the only friend she now trusts. Luke to find Leia. Kylo Ren to who knows.

 

It's interesting because I had mentioned a theory. Looking time ago about how the republic is viewed as "not good" and Kylo Ren will become captured and brainwashed to be s good guy and forget he's evil but then realizes what's happened to him and lashes out against his mom, Rey, and everyone and shows his "true" dark side and Rey and Luke end up putting them out of their misery in IX . And

 

I like the idea that the Republic have nearly become as evil as the First Order, it would make it less black & white/good vs evil as well as giving Leia more importance to the overall story.

 

Like going in with good intentions but they somehow lose their way at some point "for the gold of the people ."

 

wow. i do think Kylo Ren is going to be captured (or trapped) somehow with Rey and/or Luke. forced into close quarters with the people who can beat some sense into him. not sure how it'll play out, but i like some of your ideas!

 

Maybe they are all trapped similar to The Arena Scene in AOTC and there will be an escape sequence where they're grudgingly working together and Kylo isn't allowed any weapons of any kind and their all force powers aren't working . Like An ANTI-FORCE Planet. Or could show the vulnerability of them .

 

Yeah, surely corruption exists and there are members of the New Republic who preferred when the galaxy was under the control of the empire.

Totally outlandish theory, but The Narrator from Star Wars: The Clone Wars is Supreme Leader Snoke. C'mon he knew what happened during the prequels era ;P

 

i really thought that was how it was going to open too. with the First Order being a Resistance to the New Order.

 

Well TFA sure crushed that hope, the first order is the empire reborn.

 

that's okay. it was a hope. not an expectation for me. i don't mind the Empire reborn.

hate Snoke though. he's stupid. hahaha

 

I know he sat on this throne for most of the movie eating his force popcorn before acting interested when Hux & Kylo made their showups.

 

or flushing his Force toilet. did we really need another cackling old villain sitting in a chair with a robe? it's the one point of the movie that makes me want to hurt small animals.

otherwise i'm good with it. hahaha.

 

A cackling sith villain maybe a joker like one I could stand.
