    So you really think the big boys (Rian Johnson, JJ, Kasdan, KK) ever give a thought to the little characters Dave Filoni comes up with? Any and all theories that believe we will see Animated characters end up on screen as real characters are smoking something. The cartoons will add little things AFTER they are introduced in the films. The films will not take their stories or characters into account.

    1. Ezra, Kanaan, Ashoka, etc... None will ever appear or be mentioned in the upcoming films.
    2. Snoke's backstory will NEVER be even hinted at before Epiosde 9 is complete.
    3. Darth Maul is dead to the real movie writers. He only lives in Dave Filoni's weird little mind and because Lucas didn't give a crap so he let him resurrect him.
    4. Rebels stories will rip off ideas from the films and turn them into stories. That's what they do.

    Sorry, I think the creativity is cool and all, but things are going a bit too far in trying to connect everything and everyone. Why can't the cartoon charcters just exist along side the REAL characters? Why do so many insist on bring these cartoon characters to life in the films?

    The theory was just something I came up with while bored at work, based on a conversation I had with a friend of mine. I don't TRULY think this is what is going to happen, but I like to discuss these things with other Star Wars fans.

    I agree with most of your points, I don't think Maul will make it in another movie and shouldn't! Snoke's back story is another that I agree with. His backstory won't be told in the show, but I can see him making an appearance or being mentioned, which is all that is really needed for this theory to work.

    One thing I don't agree with is that we won't see any of the cartoon/animated characters in any of the movies. They may not make it in the main saga, that I can agree with for the most part, but with the number of movies we are said to be getting in the future, it is a matter of time before one of them make it into a live action movie or even possibly get a movie made about them. It's all Canon, so that means that these characters are all in the same story, whether or not you like the cartoons/animated series or not.

    We have already seen characters that were introduced in books and comics in the movies, so to leave out the animated characters, is like saying they aren't Canon enough and I just don't see them doing that.

    I'm also not seeing characters who were created in the animated projects make it to the big screen.

    I don't think the crew of the ghost will all die this year, but the signal will be the announcement of another season.

    I myself have speculated that the inquisitors will tie into the ST in some way, and even used to think that it could be the origin of Snoke, but I don't believe that to be the case anymore.

    Season 3 has already been confirmed. It can't really go past 5, since each season has been a year and that will get it to ANH. I agree that non of the Ghost crew will die this season. I just don't get why people are so against seeing animated characters in the live action movies. Why make the animated series' canon if you aren't going to use any of the characters in movies?

    I'm not against seeing them in live action, but it would be very tough to have an actor play the role as their hands would already be tied, so to speak.

    It is pretty easy to have a theatrical character do a cameo, as they are simply adding dialogue to an existing character. But imagine if BDT did turn out to be Ezra, it would put both he and Rian Johnson into a very small box, as we would already "know" so much about him.

    I don't agree with that. How many of us are the same person now than we were when we were a teenager? There would be 30+ year period of time between Rebels and ep 8, which is more than enough time for a person to change. I know myself, only 20 years after I was 14, am WAY different than when I was then, just look older. Which would be the same case in for BDT if he were Ezra.

    I can see the animated series' being aimed towards kids makes dialogue and plots more simple, but that doesn't mean that the movies would be tied to doing the same thing. I think it would actually enhance the characters more to see them in a more "adult" situation, even if the character isn't an adult.

    Well what I meant was that because Rebels isn't over as a tv series yet, they'd have to know what's happening with Ezra and then it also spoils the show at the same time now that we know what will be Ezra's eventual fate as the main character of the tv show .

    Ok now that makes sense! If Rebels goes to a 4th season then yes, this will cause issues! But if we only get three seasons or if Ezra goes dark before Season 4, then it wouldn't be too much of a spoiler. Great point though!

    With the "success" of Rebels I'm sure it will have AT LEAST he same life span as TVW, which would have had a much longer lifespan of Disney hadn't bought SW /LFL .

    TVW? I think the success of Rebels doesn't necessarily mean that it will be around for a while, in fact I can see them ending it after 4-5 seasons and starting a brand new show....prolly in the time between RoJ and TFA.

    I mostly agree. You seem dismissive of the cartoons, but I can't deny your conclusion. I think the biggest crossover would be for side characters with minor roles. If they need a bounty hunter for rogue 1 to have 10th billing, they might use that duros from clone wars. There could be minor name drops like "master voss's assult at boz pity" etc.

    Freddy Prinze said they are aiming for 6. In a recent rebels recon, the creative team explained that the reason b-wings aren't in ANH is because Hera's group of rebels had yet to join with dodonnas. (not sure how it works with Hera reporting to Bail, and Leia being in a different group) but I think they have plans past ANH. If the show does well, we'll get 5-7 seasons.
