I have heard rumors that Cad Bane (Duros bounty-hunter from TCW) might make an apperance in Rogue 1, but I doubt it. It feels as Disney wants to distance themselves from the preqeuls where TCW is included.
But of course they could hire a team of bounty hunters to help them retrieve the technical readouts of the Death Star.
    A squad with:
Boba, Bane, Bosssssssk and so on would be really cool to say. But as earlier mentioned, I highly doubt it.
Fan-service is great but you can most defiantly get too much of it which has been demonstrated several times in Star Wars where authors and directors simply wan`t to win the audience heart but eventually fail. I love Rebels, but for the while there is a bit too much fan-service. I`m of course hyped too see characters like Maul and Yoda return to television. One most altough consider that if that fails, the whole session might be destroyed.... and I just realized that arguement makes no sense.
Let`s just put it like this.
    Disney bring back Cad Bane
    Do good or messa angry
    Muy muy

I doubt that Disney will allow Ezra to turn to the dark side of the force.... it would be so out of character for their style of storytelling. Pocahontas Rey won't go dark, she's the new princess with a light saber for the next 2 Saga films and the prince (sorry, not sorry Freddie) of animation is Aladdin Ezra Bridger.

Some of the details of this theory are shaky but I think it's an intriguing theory. A couple of points of clarification:
    1. When you say Snoke "is more than likely a Sith Lord. A Sith Lord without an apprentice (that we know of)" do you mean during the events of Rebels? I'm assuming so.
    2. What makes you think Snoke is a Sith Lord? I feel that he has a different outlook than the Sith. For example the Visual Dictionary hints that he has more than one apprentice which is not very Sith at all. He also feels that Darth Vader failed.

It will be interesting to see how the Darth Maul story arc in Rebels plays out. I love how ambitious and hard to kill Maul is and it will be cool to see his interactions with Ezra. I do agree with the argument that the movies trump the animated series as far as lore but I think the new team at Lucasfilm is going to be far less dismissive of the non-film canon. I think things like Rebels will work into the new trilogy in more subtle ways via minor characters as opposed to major characters. That said, I think Rebels is a fantastic way to provide great expository back story to other characters, as we see in Princess Leia's case, and give us lore nerds more insight into the Star Wars universe. Kanan can be a main character in Rebels because he was never in the films so there's no conflict there. Leia, being a major OT character, benefits from having cameo roles that don't affect her as a character all that much but give us fans some fun reinforcement of her story. This is a big galaxy and the movies have, for the most part, been about the audience being dropped right into the middle of things. That's what I've always loved about Star Wars.

Darth Plagueis believed that Bane's RoT had become obsolete, before they annihilated the existing Expanded Universe. I found it poignant that Snoke spoke about completing Kylo's training, when he was already the Master of the Knights of Ren... almost as if he's been saving the Sith stuff for Solo's first major failure.

    Only time will tell.

I'm sure Snoke will go over Sith philosophies and techniques with Kylo, along with those of other Dark Siders. I really liked the direction they went in The Clone Wars with the between Maul and Palpatine. Plagueis may have rejected the Rule of Two but Palpatine sure didn't. Maybe if Snoke turns out to be Plagueis they'll run with that particular detail. Like you said, only time will tell!

My hope is that Rian Johnson doesn't go down the Sith route but I won't be all that upset if he does. I feel like the Sith have already had their time and that Snoke could be even more dangerous by starting a new legacy. The Sith are classic and iconic, though, and you really can't go wrong with resurrecting their legacy.

They won't have to have Ezra go dark or see characters die toward the end of this series. It is a kids show and I think by making it cannon, it's easier to have nods to the rest of the series. I'd bet money on them all landing on Alderaan at the end, and we all know what happens from there.

I wouldn't put it past Filoni and company to up the darkness factor in the show. Rebels is geared towards older kids and teens. It's quite dark for a kid's show, they've already shown characters dying. No major characters yet, I will give you that, but I am anticipating Ahsoka losing in a saber battle with her former master. Maybe not this season but Ahsoka's not making it out of this series alive. Ezra may not fall to the Dark Side, but I anticipate he will be tempted heavily. I think the series will start to explore his struggle heavily in the coming seasons.

I fell the same way from the direction they are going in Rebels. I would like to see them go towards the darkside just to attach it with RoTS and leading to R1/ep.4. I would like them to finish off rebels and would like to see(prolly know it wont happen) Kanan/Ahsoka in R1. Erza falling to the darkside would make the series better just to fall into the Saga. They already inputted Jedi artifacts and kinda tied TFA into it. where it takes place in the saga Kanan would have to die before episode 4. sucks but I hope they give him a good proper ending. hopefully he's the one that helps R1 in the plans but is struck down by Darth Vader. its hard cause they are going for season 3 and R1 is this year so most likely Kanan/Ahsoka will play a vital role when the plans are stolen. I think they will be responsible for the new rebel base. will see...

May the force be with you always...

The new Darth Maul action figure... and AFAIK it is based upon his appearance in Rebels.
