The end shot - loving Boyega's acting. He could steal the show.

That is exactly how I feel. I went from a shrug to rewatching it while drooling and pumping my fist and playing Slayer bas drums with my feet. SLAYYYEEER!

In fact it is STAR WARS! That's the thing it's not just iconic, it feels right (to me, at any rate).

The dogfights are looking spectacular, and dare I say better than anything we've had before. In that sense I am happy we get the good ol' X-WIngs and TIEs because those are the kind of craft I've always wanted to see in a properly designed battle. I'm also loving that the fights are near the surface of the planet, instead of just empty space - it allows for more dramatic compositioning. How many times haven't I flown my Kenner X-Wing through "canyons", between trees, up and down slopes etc. It gives a whole new dimension to the dogfighting, which we've had but a few tastes of (the rebel snowspeeders on Hoth, the speeder bikes on Endor, and I guess Geonosis for those who count the prequel trilogy as canon).

Yeah, I'm fascinated too. He looks great. So does Rey. And Poe (though he's still kind of a wild card) They both seem to have the chops to pull off arguably the hardest task ever (relatively speaking, of course) - not just inhabiting a new Star Wars movie with the legendary actors from the original trilogy, but actually moving the story into new territory where they will be the main trio! That is exciting stuff.

If only the story can hold up...

That dark, halfway mad fanatic vibe of the monologue between Vader and Kylo Ren. Fantastic.

My favorite moment is the pan-in close up of an older Han (of all people) telling Rey, that the stories of the Jedi are true...it brought chills and nearly brought tears.

Mine would have to be Rey watching the ship ascend. At that point I immediately got the OT vibes and they never left for the rest of the trailer. My first impression of Daisy Ridley is that she is perfect for this role.

Mine's still on pause. In fact, I have several online articles about the trailer up with the picture. Yep, I'm obsessed. So, anyway...

No, but really...my favourite scene is where Finn is hyping himself up before he runs up to clash with KR.

Like many of us I have watched the trailer countless times. My favorite is the beginning with Rey and the Voice Over. I love it. Especially this shot, its my desktop back ground now and I just love it.

That is what worries me, I like it so much and yet I was so horribly burned by the prequels. It's like...I'd give TPM 4/10, AOTC 0/10, and ROTS 3/10, yet here I am excited about TFA almost as much as I was back in '99, and it might just slap me in the face at some point. Say, December 16th.

BUT I remember feeling that the shots of the TPM trailer felt wrong, and this time I have no qualms about the visuals.

It will stand or fall by its story and characterization. It sounds like characterization is taken well care of, leaving story.

My favorite is really the beginning of it with Rey. It told me alot about her.

The shots of her you see she is desiring something greater.

She is alone, she spends her time searching for something that little does she know will lead her to truth and much, much more. Not only about the past, but herself.

I loved the whole trailer though

I am with you on this one. It's hard to tell because I haven't see an entire scene but have I have noticed that I already care about these characters. Very interesting!

That is a good thing to care about characters cause that goes a long way..

At this part, It's automatic for me. Damn you JJ for making grown men cry ;)

When I first saw the trailer, I didn't know what to think, The cynical side would see a lot of Abrams trademarks. After multiple viewings I have to se it for what it is now and that's Star Wars. I criticized JJ for his moving the camera, but it dos open with a great sequence of Static shots. I really do love the trailer now, but there is one thing that still kind of bugs me and it's minor and that's Kylo's first reveal, it's TOO close, pull back just a bit. And that's pretty much it. I love Kylo mind probing Poe, that is something we've never seen in a Star Wars movie before.

Maybe the shot with Poe and Finn walking by each other is the one that resonate the most with me; there is autenthic dynamic between the two characters. A sense of urgency/culmination. The intertwining of faiths.

I have combed over every inch of the trailer and noticed something right at the beginning, it isn't really that spoiler, but if I turn out to be right
I don't want to ruin it for anyone so spoiler ahead.

    opening screen.jpg
This is how I think the film will transition from the crawl, its all right here in the official trailer. It would be a drastic change to the OT or PT. Still pretty
    cool though
