    Which goes back further to Mel Brooks and even South Park with satire.
    They lampoon these stereotypes to be ridiculous and always show them out to be bad usually or as the butt of jokes.

    You are wrong, what I believe (belief) is insufficient data exists to make such a claim regarding religion. That is my belief, as such, that makes me Agnostic. TO-MATE-O, TO-MAT-O. You have confused belief with religion. You can have a belief that insufficient data exists, that is a belief.

    The definition for belief: an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. I say it is true that belief in God is inconclusive, that is my belief. Almost a paradoxial statement, but belief is being used in two different contexts.

    Ford felt the character ran it's arc in ESB and it was time for it to go. He really didn't see much need for more after ROTJ. He was never going to go back to Han without a dumptruck of money.

    Thank you. I created this thread. It was for considering the characterization of Anakin and Jar Jar. Anakin as an innocent boy. Jar Jar as a slapstick goof showcasing strange aliens exist. It was to consider the good of Episode 1.

    Instead it turned into something else entirely. I thank you for intervening and hope we can get back to more positive things such as the good things about Episode 1 and stop the petty squabbling.

    Not the moment they hit they screen, these complaints didn't pop up until several years. And you've proved the point I originally made - people who look for things to offended by find them in things they don't like. Vader, Luke, Cassian etc.... those POTENTIAL offensive sterotypes are ignored because people like them. People hated TPM and the characters right off the bat.

    No, it's not about specifics, it's about the plots of the both films being fundamentally different, with elements within the business of those plots being similar. And those similarities within the plot, as I said, could be made just as easily with The Phantom Menace, the other introductory trilogy episode in the saga. You did not explain how both overarching plots are the same, because you can't. Once again, one movie is about destroying a super weapon. The other is about finding a person who is missing. Tell me how those two things are the same.
