Force trees in episode 8?

I'd think it's because they can't physically help and Luke can...but with force trees, depending on what they do with it, I can't be on board with it..

 

Maybe they misread the prophecy.

It goes like this:

The Chosen "One"
The Chosen "Two"
The Chosen "Tree"

and so on so forth...

 

A tree is supposed to bring balance to the force...oh wait---the tree is the reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker!

I am not sure exactly what Force trees you are talking about, but I did hear something about a tree in a spoiler for episode 8.

Apparently it's all about the origins of the Force, and where the prophecy of the Chosen One came from.

Someone stated in an interview about a scene said to be in episode 8. There are two children playing near a tree, a boy and a girl. The boy realises that being near the tree made him stronger, but the girl also realised that when her brother is next to the tree, it makes him angrier. They get into an argument one day and the boy kills the girl and their parents and becomes one with the Dark Side. He becomes the first Sith. Then, we discover the girl isn't dead and she promises to return one day as the Chosen One who will bring balance to the Force.

That's what I've heard. It's only a rumour, so take it with a grain of salt.

It's still an interesting idea. I never believe any of the rumours floating around, considering how careful they're being to make sure no spoilers get out, but I thought it sounded intriguing.

You are on something here. Luke must have misheard Obi Wan Kenibo: He was saying all along "Use the Forest Luke". With his English accent it sounded like "Force". It transformed over time, like... Ketchup, Pac-Man or Hamburglar.

Like We got Mary-Janed, Midichlored, Jar-Jared or Ewoked.

 

Or the temple is self wa smodeled after the symbol that IS the tree ?

 

I am wondering if the tree concept, with Luke on the Island, is another biblical reference to the angel with the flaming sword protecting the tree of Life?
