I've seen some of these Rebels fan arts floating around for a while but the Thrawn & Captain Pellaeon one is new to me. Imagine the nerdgasm so many would have if they actually added that to Rebels?

All great artwork, except for Luke and Ezra - they just don't seem right somehow....

 

I think young Luke looks great. The thing that is throwing off the piece is that he is close to the right age to appear in Rebels (maybe a year or two too old) but he shouldn't have his father's lightsaber or R2 with him. It would be better in my opinion if they lost the lightsaber, added his macrobinoculars and then one of the old droids from the farm like the one that breaks down next to the Moisture Vaporator in the cut scene



Again just my opinion.

 

Luke and Leia are the same exact age as Ezra. I'm pretty sure the artist made these before the show was actually set in a specific place in the timeline.

 

I agree to a point ... most shows take hiatuses. But usually they break these up with blocks of 4 or 5 episodes. Lately it's been a break between every 1 or 2 episodes. It's slightly annoying, but I don't want to complain really .... because we are getting new STAR WARS!! This reason in itself is enough to take things joyously)

Not necessarily! If you consider that Ezra was born on Empire day and between then and Luke/Leia's birth we had the senate battle between Yoda and Sheev and then Yoda's escape to Polis Massa while, at the same time, we had Anakin kill the separatist leaders, Padmé arrive and argue with him, his battle with Obi Wan, then Padmé is taken away and regains consciousness and then goes through labour etc.

Although we don't know the length of these events due to cutting between scenes and the general style of Star Wars editing etc, I would say it's unlikely that all of that travelling for the parties present on Polis Massa and the events that they take part in (e.g. Labour can take a very long time for a first child) would take place in the same day as the imperial declaration!

 

Good point! I'd not considered Empire Day taking place a while after Sheev's speech. Either way, I think it would be unlikely Luke and Leia were born on the same day as Ezra.

 

Has anyone had a chance to watch "Rebel Resolve" yet? After "A Call to Action", I have been chomping at the bit to see this episode. Its on Disney XD, but of course, my cable provider is not one on the "sign in" list.

 

Since they don't usually release it till 9pm eastern time, when the previous episode would air (if they weren't skipping a week), I hadn't checked it yet, but I see that it is actually there now. I won't get a chance to watch it till later this evening.
