    I'm guessing that Lucasfilm is waiting for TFA to being in theaters for a bit before they release a teaser. Probably didn't want the distraction of another Star Wars film. That being said, January would be the perfect time to release a 30 second teaser. I'm so ridiculously pumped for this movie and I can't quite figure out why.

    What are everyone's thoughts on the shift from Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story?

    I dislike it. The new title I'm fine with, but prefer the Anthology title to tie all 3 together as spin-offs. I also think "A Star Wars Story" is just gimmicky.

    I preferred anthology as well. I'm still hoping they'll go back to it at some point. I also think we'll be getting more than three spin offs. They'll make spin offs of different time periods and stories throughout the saga. I'm still waiting for an old republic/sith wars saga film. So much potential for the saga with the anthology "brand." I get why they are playing it safe with the choices they are making so far though.

    I think A Star Wars Story is only for this particular movie, as otherwise, Rogue One doesn't scream "Star Wars" on its own. Not like Han Solo or Boba Fett will.

    Collectively, they're still called the Star Wars Anthology series of films.

    Yes, I think they had other ideas and this is more damage control.

    The Rogue One story must be really good.


    It is a risk doing YET another prequel but it will be cool to see the old school stuff in the thick of the EMPIRE before ANH!

    will be interesting for sure.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it make 75% of what TFA makes, specially if they have Vader in it for a scene or two.

    Does anyone feel like SW: Rogue One seems alil iffy within the SW Saga? I mean at first the clone war cartoon series was a good fitting into the story and Rebels is up there as well. With TFA just released its hard to focus now that Rogue One coming into a backstory to ANH. I feel good with the trilogy story as of now and now adding Rogue One just makes me feel for right now that is like a lifetime TV addition. you kinda wanna know but yet the actors just dont fit into the whole picture of the SW Trilogy it self. any replies? Im just curious as we already know the plot line to the OT. i think if they made a anthology on before TFA then that would interest me more. please explain to me Rogue One purpose again to SW.

    I think what they are trying to bring with this movie is a little bit more grit. The anthologies are an opportunity to expand the franchise and also to experiment with different genres all while not losing it's Star Wars vibe. This could be considered both a war film and a heist film combined. I don't think it's an issue that we know the direct outcome. We actually don't know who will survive. So this could very well be a good character piece if done well. That and the ground level warfare that we haven't quite seen before promises could be quite the treat for fans.
