    Yes, and sketchy as I said. Not to say Reddit is better, but at least it appears to be moderated to some extend. In any case, eager to learn more about the upcoming movie, I am willing to take a look at more unconventional

However, being eager to know more about the upcoming movie, I am willing to take a look at more unconventional places... such as 4chan as well. TFA has occupied my attention quite successfully until now, with a result that I have very little information regarding the Rogue One movie.

    British actor Guy Henry is rumoured to have been cast in Rogue One. In the UK, he is best known for his role as Director Surgeon Henrik Hanssen in the BBC's "Holby City" hospital drama series.

    Coincidently, both Daisy Ridley (Rey) and Hugh Quarshie (Captain Panaka) had roles in in the same "Holby City" hospital and in the sister-series "Casualty".

    I see that Old Biff already posted a separate thread. But still, it appears Darth Vader (AND James Earl Jones) could be in RO. That is great news - also makes me to believe even more strongly that RO will chronologically take place (if not immediately, then) closely before ANH. (http://makingstarwars.net/2016/01/25215/) Maybe the last scene of the movie could be of Tantive IV and Captain Antilles, who have just received a message from Felicity Jones' character.

    anyone heard any updates on the teaser release date? the more i think about it, Civil War just feels way too late to drop a "88 second" type teaser. Especially considering how close Civil War and Celebration are.

    It should be out a little before Captain America: Civil War drops. Maybe with The Jungle Book or something at the absolute earliest. And at that point, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a full trailer in and of itself.

    I'm guessing that Celebration Europe will be where the first teaser for Episode VII will be shown.

    i guess with both so close together, predicting the RO marketing by looking at the TFA marketing is probably the wrong thing to do. However, increasing the presence of RO marketing only to then hit us with the VIII teaser two months later does have it's risks. hmmmm

    I'm a bit concerned at marketing/over saturation and messages being lost between RO and Episode VIII. The marketing machine that is Disney obviously plotted this out carefully, so I'll trust their expertise. Still, it's a bit risky, like you say. I don't want people to get turned off and tune out, but I bet most of VII-IX viewers won't be paying much attention to RO and other spin offs... I'd love to see analytics /demographics on these things! Who sees what film and why?

    How many people you rekon will walk into this thing thinking its the 'next' star wars movie and wonder where Rey and Finn are? and saying.. wait... i thought Darth Vader was dead? WTF?

    Annual movies are usually direct continuations... Friday the 13th series in the 80s. Then they had the Harry Potter movies (almost annually), LotR trilogy, Saw, Paranormal Activity, Twilight 'saga' (snerk), Hunger Games, the 3 Hobbit movies, Maze Runner series, Divergent series, etc.

    I think a lot of casual viewers are going to be completely confused when they sit in their seats.

    That's not to say that they won't have anything for Rogue One at Celebration Europe, though. I just wouldn't expect another full trailer that soon.
    Look at it this way - there's no way that Rogue One won't have a trailer for Episode VIII shown beforehand. It'll contextualize the movie as being a standalone story as opposed to a direct sequel.

    Bear in mind that at that point, the movie will be six months away from release. Which is the absolute latest that first trailers tend to hit for major tentpole films.
