    There would be no need to recast Bail Organa - Jimmy Smits is the right age to play the character after the timeskip (give or take a few years, but makeup can fix that). You could probably say the same of the actress who played Mon Mothma in Revenge Of The Sith.

    True enough, but there hasn't been even a glimmer of a rumor that puts Jimmy Smits or Genevieve O'Reilly anywhere near Rogue One. Both Bob Iger and Forrest Whitaker have said that filming for RO is done so unless Lucasfilm recast those roles, there will be no Bail Organa or Mon Mothma. Which is fine, although it would have been cool to see them make appearances.

    Keep in mind this is a war film. Organa and Mothma are politicians, not soldiers.

    My point was that there would be no point in recasting them, not that they'd be in the movie (which I don't think is going to happen, as you've noted).

    The only way we'd even see Jimmy Smits would be if we see Alderaan...correct me if I'm wrong but in "Rebels" isn't she already the rep. for Alderaan ?

    Leia is the representative in the Imperial Senate for Alderaan. Bail is part of the Rebels at this point in the timeline, I believe.

    if they are right (they also tweeted their source was only a few days off with tfa trailer), this means the Civil War date is pretty accurate. Wasn't that Noah kid that first said civil war release?

    I find it doubtful that we'll see Boba Fett but anything can happen. After all, there are rumors that whoever is playing young Han Solo is making a cameo.

    for all the speculation that RO marketing would fire up right after TFA's run, strangely we seem to be getting VIII info easier than RO. Daisy chatting to outlets, Mark working his magic on social media etc etc, yet RO is dead silent. I hope they get moving soon.

    Right now, they don't need to advertise RO. Right now, Disney's focus is on marketing Zootopia, The Jungle Book, and Captain America: Civil War - all of which are expected to do well. I would expect the first teaser/trailer to arrive in time for that last movie (that is to say, it should arrive mid-April).

    yeah the trailer with CW is fair enough, i just thought they might have some new pictures released or something like EW interviews to coincide with VIII news. Maybe i'm being too premature on when to expect these things :D
