    See I have to respectfully disagree
    I think I am more excited for this than TFA
    I want side characters and stories in verse
    To me the sky walker story is complete
    TFA seems to spend a lot of time on that to get going
    Starwars isn't just about the force (though fantastic)
    We have pirates and smugglers
    And areas only hinted at
    Give them the stage
    Now I agree that if this is just a filling gaps story it will get old quick
    But the potential is magnificent I want to see the people that would be me
    I want to fight for good but the would probably only have my wits and a blaster to stay alive

    Having just read the post on Rogue One regarding its character content I can confirm that I am officially foaming at the mouth and now firmly canonised into nerdism!!

    So far I've read that this movie will loosely take an 'Ocean's Eleven' concept, have a 'Black Hawk Down' feel to it making it darker than other additions to the SWU and now we have Darth Vader, Ben Mendelsohn's moff character, Boba Fett and a host of bounty hunters co starring!!!!!

    If these rumours are true, and I'm not so sure they all are (Cad Bane), then I doth my hat to you good folk at Disney for giving the fans something they will truly enjoy.

    Absolutely ecstatic with the fact that we will be getting one SW movie each year until 2020 and I'm sure there will be many, many more movies after this time having Disney paid so much for the franchise.

    In 2017 'A New Hope' will 40 years old!! That's crazy but I guarantee that i'll be sitting my kids down to watch it in preparation for next 20 movies :)

    Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!

    Whoa! Cad Bane? They're not gonna make Cad Bane just a side character, are they? Just a background character against a flurry of characters? He's too great a character for them to make him just "one of the guys". Either they make him the lead hunter or don't use him at all.

    I don't know if this is true, but having Cad Bane in the movie would be awesome. A ruthless bounty hunter in wild, wild west garb kicking ass across the galaxy. :cool:

    I agree he was never killed in TCW so our pipe breathing bounty hunter troublemaker might make another animated appearance maybe in the rebels but I doubt in a actual movie.

    By the time Rebels roll out, Bane is too old to be a threat to anyone (I don't think Duros live as long as Wookiees). They will have to make that transition once - from animated to live action - but I agree, maybe not this early in the new canon. Maybe Chopper will make an appearance, they already have him made. :D

    I think the rumor about the bounty hunters is interesting. Initial rumors made it sound like bounty hunters were hired to steal the plans which while interesting did not seem to fit. However, the rumor of the Rebel Alliance stealing the plans and the Empire hiring bounty hunters to recover the stolen plans is interesting to me. It sets up Vader being in Rogue One really well. Vader hires the bounty hunters to retrieve the plans. The bounty hunters eventually failing and Vader deciding he needs to due it himself which leads to the opening scene we see in ANH
