    I don't want to speak for everyone, but am I the only who wouldn't be a little disappointed if we don't get to at least see Vader ignite his crimson lightsaber? From a plot perspective, Chirrut and and others could knowingly sacrifice their lives by confronting Vader to buy the rest of the rebels time to escape (kind of like Obi-Wan in a ANH)

    I'll risk saying it.

    No one on this film is worthy of dying by Vader's glorious red saber. This movie is for his sorcerer's ways at most.

    Dark magic and evil powers. Just using the force.

    I think it's just a hair more menacing that way. The only film where Darth Vader fulfills that lofty imperial enforcer role before revealing his past as a swordsman. That moment comes on the Death Star soon after.

    I don't really agree with this. I would agree if a rebel soldier was standing up to Vader and holding his own in combat, however, at this stage in Vader's life he is full of rage and pain, and he just needs an opportunity to unleash. This is the last chance to show him doing something Jedi-like, as he will not be needed again except in flashback form possibly. I will hope until the last moment that we get to see this.

    Agreed I don't know either, maybe Reddits is the source of it, I like that KK has revealed this so we know ANH was the next stage without having to wait 2-4 years for it to be so.

    Idk if you've also seen the news about Krennic being when of the "heroes" of R1 but is that any indication that he might change sides, go rogue, etc? Like what happened in POTC: Dead Man's Chest to Norrington but the opposite? I doubt it but It's very interesting to think about that wording nonetheless

    It was something I read about the r1 expansion pack talking about the "HEROES" that are playable in it and this being the last expansion pack befor ethe sequel to Battlefront's reboot
    .

    The term "Hero" is used interchangeably with any antagonistic character. Emperor Palpatine is a "Hero" unit in Battlefront.
