    The lid was lifted on Rogue One at Disney D23 Expo with a first picture of the cast. Oscar-nominated The Theory of Everything star Felicity Jones will lead the cast of the film, playing a troubled young tearaway called Jyn Erso who is recruited as part of the team tasked with retrieving the Death Star plans.

    Diego Luna (Elysium) is Rebel officer Captain Cassian Andor, with Jiang Wen (Let the Bullets Fly) as "freelance assassin" Baze, Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler) as Bodhi, an Imperial pilot and secret Rebel, and Donnie Yen playing a "spiritual warrior" called Chirrut

    Specifically, the article mentions that Baze Malbus is cynical and then the article asks the question if he is in fact an imperial informer which the 4chan plot points from the other day also mention.

    So everyone dies...i'm not saying this wont be a good movie ( We all know it is going to be amazing!) but having everyone die is pretty unoriginal.

    I disagree. If this is all true, it's the opposite of what I was expecting a Disney-owned Star Wars movie to do. In a morbid-sounding sense, I'm actually pleasantly surprised that my initial assumptions might have been wrong.

    They better be dead. Seriously, the 'heroes' of the rebellion that got the plans to the death star are never mentioned by name in ANH/ESB/ROTJ. This has to be for a reason, and if they try to retcon the rebels to being "in the background" then why are they building them up to be heroes? Why is jyn present at rebel meetings then never mentioned in the OT. They have to die, retconning is just lazy

    I don't buy it. Many of these "spoilers" can be easily deduced from what we know already and most of them seem pretty credible. However... (and I'm not even going to spoiler tag these since I think this whole deal is now made up) there were a couple things that jumped out at me to discredit these so-called "spoilers"...

    1. Bodhi Rook dies on Scarif, in an attempt to delay the transportation of kyber crystals, Bodhi boards a cargo shuttle with explosives and sets them off with him in it, which destroys the kyber crystals as well as kills himself.

    One does not simply "destroy" kyber crystals. Catalyst makes it clear that the crystals are basically indestructible. In the book, one even survives a massive explosion that wipes out thousands of lives on the planet Malpaz.

    2. The scene where a cloaked figure "kneels" before a "bacta tank" is actually rigged just for the trailers. The actual scene is Galen cloaked after coming back from Eadu, and deathtroopers behind him. They take him to the power core where the power from his creation is being stored. Galen drops to his knees and shakes his head, as he realizes his research is being used for something terrible.

    Galen realizes in Catalyst that his research is being weaponized by Krennic as he has been manipulating him all along. This is why he goes into hiding. However, I concede that a scene like this is still possible in the movie as Galen never actually sees the super weapon in the book. A reaction like this could still take place.

    -> Galen is described as a pacifist in Catalyst, he would never attempt to kill anyone.



    "Krennic meets his demise at the hands of Darth Vader. Krennic approaches Vader just as Vader begins to depart to infiltrate the Tantive IV (as seen in A New Hope), and Krennic basically Vhlor about the Rebels escaping with the plans and makes it sound like it is Vader's fault, to which Vader simply breathes normally and listens, then raises his hand and chokes Krennic to death."

    -> Krennic is clearly being approached by Vader.

    Unfortunately this reminds me of last year when bad news leaks came out, such as the death of Han or Luke having only one scene, you know...things a lot of fans didn't like, and immediately these "rumors" were shot down and it was said they weren't true. I hope history isn't repeating itself. I really hope we get to see Vader do something other than sound scary, otherwise why have him?! We could've just had more trade negotiations.

    Except those rumors came waaaaaayyy earlier, bub. Like, at least half a year before the release of the movie earlier. And the difference is that it was all coming from a site that had a good degree of credibility that was only spoiled by them treating one bit of incorrect speculation as a fact for a time (the whole "Evil Luke" theory) while essentially everything else came true. The Reddit/Pastebin stuff is certifiably fake, and I can tell you that pretty conclusively.
