    I know the Hammerheads are related. That wasn't my question. I asked if the little aliens are. They all kind of look like they are related to Ugnaughts. Or am I just being racist? xD

    I just saw Rogue One today (snowed in last week). Unfortunate that this is the same day I find out Carrie Fisher is in critical condition, and I wish her the best. But anyway, this movie is amazing. (Remainder of this post contains spoilers.)

    I thought they might try to do the story without Tarkin at all, but Guy Henry is jaw-droppingly accurate in his portrayal, and so are the portrayals of Leia and Mon Mothma. It's also great to see (or hear) Jimmy Smits and James Earl Jones, plus all the other connections to existing SW movies.

    R1 does great in terms of character development, excitement, and "fittedness" - the story matches everything we already know so perfectly. I never thought of the possibility that the flaw in the Death Star could've been intentional, but now that I've seen the movie, I love this twist. And just when you thought R2D2 and C3PO wouldn't be in it - surprise!

    I had never heard of Gareth Edwards before, but this movie really feels like it was made by people who love Star Wars, for people who love Star Wars. In my opinion, this feeling was sorely lacking in Episode VII.

    Unless I missed it, I didn't notice any dedications in the movie - I thought it might be in memory of Kenny Baker and/or Erik Bauersfeld.

    I give this movie what I would consider the highest possible compliment: I believe that George Lucas would approve.

    As you may have guessed, when I wrote that previous post, I didn't know that they used CGI to recreate
    Tarkin and Leia
    . However, in my opinion that is actually even more impressive.

    I know there are always people who will say, "I hate computer graphics!" But when I saw it, I couldn't even tell it was CGI. It just looked amazingly perfect. Turning people into other, real people is one of the most difficult things you can attempt with CGI, and I still think they nailed it.

    I also hadn't heard about GL's comments, but I'm glad that I was right about him approving. :)
